I am looking to change my Bridgestone Potenza tyres for All Season. I'm not a performance driver so more interested in quietness and comfort. I find the Bridgestones to be noisy and 'hard'.

I've been looking for good All Season tyres. Winter in the southern UK is normally fairly mild and I've found All Season tyres to cope well. I've seen that Pirelli have recently launched the Scorpion MS which seem to be very quiet, comfortable and reasonable performance. They are expensive, my standard 20" are £ 1,350 fitted.

Does anybody on here have Scorpion MS on their car ? Apparently the MS stands for Mud & Snow.

Yes, I had the scorpion set on 20 inch standard rims with all season tires.and they are very quiet and smooth. Note I do not have the thermal glass so even with the standard glass and a wiper config, they are good.

shawn - many thanks for the confirmation. The few reviews I have found say the same thing.

I have the Scorpion MS on my 20". So far so good, but only a few months in. I like the ride with the air suspension.

Thanks. As your in the UK presumably you had them fitted after delivery. Did you drive the car with the original fitments and were they Bridgestones - I find them harsh and noisy. Thanks again.

I am in the USA. OEM tires for the car at delivery.

I would be careful buying any tyres that aren’t approved ? N rated as Insurance could be invalidated. I have to agree Bridgestone are awful - I’m running them on my 21 in 4S - hoping I can get something better in about another 3mm !

I had the Scorpion M&S All Seasons fitted today. Difference with the Bridgestone Potenza’s was immediately very noticeable. They are much quieter and far more ‘comfortable’. As I am not a ‘performance’ driver they are far more what I was looking for having paid for Air & Acoustic.

I’m sure they will get even more different once they’ve done a few miles. I’ll be interested to see the consumption when I do the same drive as I did on the Potenza's. My average consumption on the Potenza’s was 3.2 miles / kw.

Thanks once again for the earlier confirmations that helped me to decide to invest £ 1,350 in getting more comfort and less noise !

I did a regular journey today, half on a dual carriageway at 70+ and the app says consumption was 3.7 miles / kw. I‘m pretty sure that same journey on the Bridgestones would have been about 3.4 - next week I‘m driving 250 miles all on dual carriageways and motorway so I’ll be sure to check the efficiency. My initial feel is circa 10% improvement in range with the Pirelli’s.

The car definitely prefers the Pirelli's in terms of range - 324 miles at 90% = 360 miles. I know as soon as I drive it will reduce but it was never that high to begin with on the Bridgestones

Your car was delivered on bridgestone all seasons and you changed to pirelli all season?
How many miles did you have your bridgestone before you swapped over? Did you felt the ride of the Macan was overall harsh to begin with or did the problem become more apparent as the miles accumulated?

My macan was delivered with bridgestone summer tires and I too find the sidewalls very stiff(most bridgestone from my past experience all have stiff sidewalls. Unfortuntely I rarely keep my cars longer than a set of tires lifespan so I don't often get to pick the tires but I think the bridgestones have a very harsh ride. Its very quiet tho but way too stiff for me.

I'm so tempted to just change to the pirelli to hope for an improvement.

My Bridgestones were Summer tyres. I've only done 4,000 miles on them. I just found the Bridgestones too harsh and noisy and thought £ 1,350 compared to the £ 92k I paid a worthwhile spend - I think it was.
