Will winter wheels & tyres TPMS from Taycan Cross Turismo work on Macan 4EV?

Fitted the winter wheels and tyres from our Taycan onto the new Macan 4 EV and it won’t communicate with the TOMS sensors. It goes through the calibration procedure but never hooks up even after 50 miles. Visied the local Porsche dealer for help and after much head scratching they informed that the Macan has a totally different system to the Taycan. I then contacted a TPMS specialist supplier who told me that if there was a new TPMS system they would know about. Who do you think is correct?

I am sorry that I do not have any information about the TPMS, but I am very interested to know about the fitment of the Taycan wheels on the Macan. Any fitment issues? It seems the spec of the Taycan and Macan have a slightly different hub bore 71.5 mm vs 71.6mm, but identical bolt pattern. Likely negligible difference in hub bore, and not an issue, but this is the first confirmation of the compatibility. I have a spare Taycan wheel that I would love to use as a spare for my Macan in the event of a punctured tire.

They told you the wheels were cross-compatible? I don't think Taycan wheels will work on a Macan, you could be in for some real problems doing that.

Your warranty will most definitely not cover any damage caused by putting Taycan wheels (not listed as compatible by Porsche) on an electric Macan.

Difference in bore is not a problem. Brake caliper housing is much larger on the Macan so you need wheels with a larger offset or you might need a small spacer to give clearance.

They’re just wheels, if the specifications are the same there won’t be any issues And you don’t have to use Porsche wheels either.

Same here. I was told by the parts manager at my dealership that he could not guarantee they would work and recommend not doing that.

Any issue with your setup so far, what tires are you running??

It looks like they should fit. I only compared the rear wheels but need to go with 295 width instead of 285 as the rim is 11.00 in width?

well. regarding the TPMS, check to see if the Part number is the same. Iirc, the part number is the same for the EV as all previous ICE macans.
if you really wanted to use the use the wheels, you can get an a set of aftermarket TPMS sensors, like Autel, for about $100...then pay a shop to put them in.
I have autel MX-1 sensors in my wheels, so i can confirm they work

Thought I’d confirm that the 3rd party winter wheels we used on our Taycan Cross Turismo work just fine on our Macan EV but we did have to use a 5mm spacer to clear the larger brake calipers on the Macan.. Wheels were 20 inch Judd Spiders with Pirelli P-Zero winter tyres. We used wheel bolts with an extra 5mm of threaded section. Still haven’t solved the TPMS issue yet.
