Physical key?

Did we get physical keys with this car?
I know there are key holes in the doors, and the glove box.... There's even a key holder in the glove box........ But i dont think i have a key.

Did we get one with this car? I don't recall receiving one...
And who said your consumption on 22's had to be shit

Performing emergency release of doors
If the vehicle key remote control does not work, the doors can also be unlocked and locked without the remote control.

1. Pull the door handle on the driver's side firmly 5 times over the first locking position.
2. Hold the vehicle key on the windscreen area with the vehicle identification number within 10 seconds.
   Finding technical data
   Vehicle unlocks automatically.

Performing emergency locking of the doors if the central locking system has failed
Perform this procedure for the driver’s door, passenger's door and the rear doors.

1. Remove the emergency key from the glove box.

2. Remove rubber stopper on door lock.

3. Turn the lock outwards using the emergency key.
4. Attach rubber stopper to door lock.
5. Close the relevant door.

   The doors can be opened from inside by pulling the door opener.

damn...thanks. But mine is certainly not in the glove box....
i'll check to see if it came out of the holder and is just in the bottom of the glove box

this is exactly why i'm looking for they key...to lock the glovebox. I guess i'll have to contact the dealer to see if they still have it or can make one since i never received one

This might be a silly question, but are the emergency key and the glove box key two separate keys or one key for both functions?

I have the key that I was told at handover was for the glove box, but there was no mention of it also being an emergency key — which is why I’m asking.

And if it is the same key, I’m a bit confused as to why the holder for the glove box key would be located inside the glove box…which can itself be locked using that very key.

Yes, it's the same key and indeed, it should be stored inside the glovebox.

However, there are 2 of them and do not carry them with me. Just have it at home with the other stuff and papers.
