Yeh it will just be abit gutting to get the car then immediately hand it over but it will need the car to be delivered to my front door from the OPC (lease contract requires it). Then it will need driven from my house to the detailer, which is about 18 miles of country road.

My plan is to ppf the high impact areas, front bumper gloss black side skirts, mirrors, wheel arches and obviously ceramic coat (which isnt needed immediately). Also going to add some protection to the racetex interior.

Excuse my ignorance, Gary, but why are you spending money getting PPF and ceramic coating when the car is leased?

I could understand getting protection if you planned to keep the car long term, and it was your private purchase.

Or maybe a partial PPF coverage at much less dost, e.g. to PFF your front fascia, fender,hood, front of mirror, and A pillar — and stop there?

To bounce this question back, is ppf only for the purposes of resale? In reality most people only keep a car for 3-5 years, sorry should of said its not the main body, just high impact areas eg side skirts & bumper but the high gloss console inside



It could be that I still have to hand it back in perfect condition — and I want it to look as as possible new for the three years I’m driving it. It’s cheaper than paying for chips and scratches at lease return, and I get to enjoy a closer to perfect car the whole time.

The ppf is a smaller cost in the grand scheme of things, those gloss black parts such as side skirts will get plenty scuffed up
