Every Macan owner gets it for free. You're in the wrong forum to complain. But, evenso, if you were a Taycan owner, you didn't buy the car after the NACS switch, so you didn't have that expectation anyway.

Get the Lectron on Amazon and enjoy, rather than complain. (Unless complaining is how you enjoy, in which case I recommend posting your complaints on ChatGPT for best moral support!)

that's judgmental, this is a good place to voice, call it complain if you like, but maybe you can tell us where and how you will get the adaptor for free? That's not what I'm seeing, It's $185.

FYI This is the Canadian press release

"The Adapter
Going forward, all new Model Year 2026 Porsche Taycan and Macan Electric models will include a Porsche NACS DC adapter at no additional fee. Model Year 2025 Taycan as well as all existing Macan Electric customers are eligible for a complimentary adapter. This group of owners will receive notification via My Porsche to reserve their Porsche NACS DC adapter shortly"

EDIT:
Here's the US one. Sorry my computer fights me when i want to deviate from the non-Canadian version of the site lol

This is good news, when I looked in the app, it stated $185 retail, I'll remain hopeful

I really wish someone would try to charge today as I would imagine it won't work but maybe it will since the cars are on the Tesla app.

Has anyone tried this today (compatible Tesla Supercharger that is not one with a Magic Dock?). I noticed that Porsche is still not listed as a Tesla partner on the Tesla website.
Some info sources suggest that official approval comes in a few days.

Also, some of the Tesla stations suggest not avail. Thankfully the ones near my home sitting next to the Electrify America chargers do accept Porsche according to the TeslamApp. Loaded on my iPhone.

But the message reads to use only Porsche OEM adapter. Hence I didn’t buy well known adapter brands fearing I might create some electrical gremlins and faults.

Am waiting for the Porsche OEM adapter which hopefully will coincide with Tesla approving Porsche in more locations

seems like we are just a few days or weeks away… 🥳

there is no way for Porsche/Tesla/Station to "know" what adapter is being used - the only issue will be if there is a problem and you haves a warranty claim and they discover you were not using an approved adapter they may have an excuse…

but yeah - that's like saying your microwave can know you're using an extension cord - there is no way to tell.

One of the reasons not all Tesla SC show up in the app could be because they are older versions which for some reason (I don't recall) don't work on all cars. Might be the 400v vs 800v architecture. We have the same issue with our I5.

I wouldn't count on it 100%. There could easily be some sort of ID chip or other electronic component in the adapter. It's a bit more sophisticated than a microwave and extension cord. Afterall, they can ID your car for plug and charge. Can your microwave do anything like that?

Not saying they did anything special, just that it isn't anywhere near impossible.
