I don’t think anything will happen until at least September 9, according to the article.

if you want to see what supercharger's you'll have access to - just lie the app - and set your car to Ford, GM, Hyundai, Rivian - etc…any EV with existing access is all that's needed to have the map inside the Tesla app show you what superchargers are available to NACS partner vehicles…

here for example are the 3 superchargers available to NACS vehicles in the Santa Cruz, CA area (I added a Ford F-150 EV to my Tesla app)

it properly lists (because of the Ford in my Vehicle list)
  • Scotts Valley (MagicDock)
  • 41st Street Capitola V4 (Burger King parking lot)
  • Soquel Ave (Wholefoods parking lot)
it does _NOT_ list Watsonville, CA superchargers - because those are 72 kW urban superchargers and CCS vehicle's can't use Urban superchargers (Tesla onsite hardware doesn't speak CCS for urban superchargers)

Electric Macan EV NA Porsche owners can now access Tesla Supercharger network. Free adapter for all Macan EV owners IMG_003684D572D1-1

If I only have my Macan in the Tesla app - it only shows me Scott's Valley, CA (magic dock)…which is also correct - until Sept. 9th ;)

isnt EA 60-something cents per kWh once the free charging is over? I might just exclusively use Tesla on roadtrips once my year of free charging is over.

Depends on location. The EA chargers near me are $0.40 and then if you have EA Pass+ you save 25%.

Comparing Baker CA since it’s probably one of the more in-demand charging locations. Supercharger is $0.42. EA has a scale based on time, all of these getting a discount with Pass+

Has anyone tried this today (compatible Tesla Supercharger that is not one with a Magic Dock?). I noticed that Porsche is still not listed as a Tesla partner on the Tesla website.

Wow. Great news about access to wider charger network!!

Really shocking to consider Porsche would provide adapters for free to model years 2025 onward and charge 2024 model year for the adapter. Good news is the price is same as on Amazon without the Porsche Logo.

The bad news is charging $185 to loyal Porsche Owners who were in the 1st wave of orders for commercial production (especially multi model multi decade loyalists) only to receive their cars in Sept/Oct after Porsche finally obtained US approvals to release those vehicles for official import and delivery to dealers only a few weeks before 2025 models arrived for delivery.

it’s equally disturbing to note that the $185/unit pales in comparison to the absorption of the US Import Tariffs - since these went into effect - are resulting in 2025 model deliveries costing Porsche ~12% or more of their profit margin per total vehicle price currently. PCNA has not yet raised prices of cars being delivered to Dealers so PCNA’s eating the tariff in early phase (saved dealers from raising prices allowing sales to blossom) including new cars delivered through Sept that weren’t eligible for pre-tariffs exemption.

Given the US is currently Porsche’s largest market outside Germany (with China having been weak for all import luxury brands in 2025), hitting Porsche owners of 1st model 2024 launch cars - that are only weeks older than 2025 model year cars - with such a small charge for the unit seems truly pedantic, short sighted and disrespectful to their Loyal US buyers.

Financially, the sale vs “free of charge” units to the small # of 2024 model owners - out of total US Porsche cars sold across all ICE, PHEV, EV units - frankly won’t even register a decimal point of improved Operating or EBITDA Margin on Sales of Porsche cars in the US.

A truly pathetic lack of common sense considering those who can afford a Porsche can afford the charger unit. All or none is more logical.

Otherwise, I’m personally glad we are all getting access to more charging stations.

This will help remove “range anxiety” and make our EVs more all around practical not for trips and local daily commutes alike!

Cheers to all fellow Porsche Owners of all model years!

I couldn't agree more. The way I read it, we are paying $185 if we own a 2024. Not sure I would have purchased a year old vehicle with a voucher in hindsight I paid too much for a year old car. I waited ten months with a voucher. As much as I love driving my Porsche, I was first insulted when I bought the Porsche wall charger for $1500 and then the price was reduced by 50% and they would not discount it back to me. Now I have to pay for an adaptor for more security around charging with Tesla chargers available. There are not many chargers in NM, which causes me a lot of charging anxiety because I want to make road trips but hesitate. Sometimes the chargers are down and that's another issue. Not to mention the hoses and handles are heavy and huge (I am strong at 116 pounds, 5'1"). I am in the desert under the sun with no islands or covered bays for charging. Thank you for bringing up uncomfortable dialogue. As a class of buyers we should, or could if we organized, protest loudly.

Read it again. You’re listed as a Macan owner, yes?
