iOS 26 CarPlay breaks the navigation integration?

I just upgraded my IPhone 16 Pro to iOS 26 and now the CarPlay works but when using Apple Maps navigation it doesn’t sync with the HUD/right gauge on the driver dash does not point for directions anymore… used to work with the previous iOS..

Anyone else sees this issue? Am I missing setting somewhere to re-enable it?

Works for me, iOS 26 (beta since day 1 and now public release) on iPhone 16 Pro.

Same, except I’ve been on the public beta track - no issues with Apple Maps (or Waze or ABRP) and nav display with an iPhone 16 Pro.

Anyone has waze (ios) working with the hud? Only works for Apple Maps in my 4S. I was hoping it would work after updating to ios26, but no luck…

Looks like after additional tries it works as before the iOS upgrade, now i switched to a different phone and hopefully no issues there.

Since IOS26, I'm getting in-HUD directional arrows for Google Maps as well. Similar experience to Apple Maps.

I was wondering if anyone is still missing the HUD and dash board navigation while using apple maps? I am using an iphone 16 pro on ios 26.01. This was not working on ios 26 for me either. I have restarted the phone a few times with each update and tried to restart the car by holding the volume knob down. Any other recommendations?

I did check to confirm the car nav is functioning with the HUD and dash indicators.
