soooooo a couple days ago, my AC port would not open... I kept locking and unlocking the car...no go. I went over and opened the DC side, and then closed that....Went back to the AC side, and then it opened.
Hope that helps you guys if you have issues opening the ports again.
I had only charged like 20% on AC...and then accidentally only went to 50% on DC later that day.
The next day when i went to leave, I got the following error.
Electric Macan EV Electric Charge Ports Won’t Open 1762736564481-oa

Drove as usual...park the car and did what i needed to do. Of course, there was no error when i came back. I haven't attempted to AC charge since then, but we'll see.

I know this is not related to the OP's problem but when the car is locked, the charge doors will not open even if you have your key fob. If you open the rear door first, then the charge doors will open correctly. I thought I had a problem till I figured that out.
Thanks for the tip, this works consistently!
I’ve had the issue on several occasions and each time I used the rear door handle lock sensor to reset the door sensor.
With the cat unlocked I use my thumb on the handle to lock, then unlock, then try the charge port door. It usually opens the first tome I try that, if not it will the second time.
Thanks again for mentioning this work around.

This might work too when the car is unlocked. I had the vehicle unlocked and the charge door would not open. I found touching the rear passenger door handle helps. It is not even necessary to open the passenger door. Merely touching your hand on the passenger door handle and then placing your hand on the charge door might open it (the vehicle was unlocked both before and after any of this). This may not resolve all issues related to the charge doors, of course, but at least one issue looks to be software related. Now that I know this, it is a non-issue for me; very simple to try if the charge door at first doesn’t open.

Early in my ownership, the passenger charge door would open only intermittently. Porsche replaced a ”too thick” gasket with thinner one, and that worked. my doors work reliably after this mechanical repair (gasket) and learning the technique above.

Our charge port door wouldn't open the other day. The DC side had a spinning icon on the dash. Tried opening rear doors, leaving the car off for a while, driving it etc. No luck. Called our local porsche dealer and they said they wouldn't be able to help on day and recommended porsche assist. Called porsche assist, which later turned out to be The AA roadside assist. He couldn't get it open, he rang his colleague who told him to disconnect the 12v battery to do a hard reset. Took him 2 attempts to disconnect the battery as the first time the car wouldn't shut down. He disconnected the earth connection and then it went off. Left it for a few mind and then reconnected. The car rebooted and recalibrated itself and it was all working again.

What I'm disappointed about was the local porsche centre didn't want to help after I phoned ahead to see if they could resolve it easily. It becomes a massive weakness if you cant recharge your car and the only other option would be to get it towed. Luckily the reboot fixed it. They really needed a software reset button in the car instead of disconnecting the battery. Turning it off and on again saves the day!

The AA guy undone the battery in the frunk to reboot the car. Maybe worth calling porsche Assist (the AA). They get to you within 2 hrs

I feel like I’m tempting fate by raising my hand. Hopefully this is one of the things addressed in the major update that just became available.

I wonder if a “poor man’s restart,” pushing the vehicle’s “power button” (as it is named in the Owner’s manual) on the left side of the dashboard, to turn off and on the vehicle, would work.
