Hi all,

New to this forum. Currently driving a Gen 1 Rivian R1T but lease is ending and with change of work, not much use for a truck.

I'm considering a Macan lease. Wonder if anyone is able to share experience, or pointers.

A few things to note:
- Never driven/owned a Porsche and also a Macan
- Care about noise insulation and range (Gen 1 R1T is like driving through a typhoon)
- I'd love for a trim and spec best for range
- Commute once a week, round trip is about 200 miles now

Truly appreciate your help, guidance or any advice.

Thank you.

Well, the trim that’s gonna give you the most range would be the rear wheel drive with 20 inch rims and you can get rear thermal insulated glass but you sacrifice the rear wiper. There’s a thread discussing the pros and cons of that you can read about. otherwise you’re spending weeks looking at the configurator to figure out what kind of options you want. Fun times 😊

I understand that EV is not new to you but when you say that Range is important, how much is not enough if you have home charging and now Macan EV can charge at Tesla SCs.

My advice is to go and start with a RWD that comes with the least standard equipment to allow you to explore most options and then come back with a build code for the forum to review with questions.

unless you are prepared to over pay by significant margin - BMW iX 3 is probably what your looking for

i love my Macan Turbo but its not a leading Ev in price performance - range is not embarrassing but hardly class leading - and a fully optioned trim will cost $$$

but get us a build code and we can go from there

price aside and range aside….

nothing else on the road drives as well as the Porsche EVs - but you pay for it in $$$ and EV range

if driving quality is your goal Porsche 100%

if price and range are your goals you will find Porsche a difficult fit

Price and Range aside I also think that the Macan is the significantly better car than the iX3. But to each their own.
