Android Auto navigation suddenly not shown on HUD?

Apple maps worked for me last week.

Just got the VR28.13 update and Android Auto still isn't working with the HUD

I am so glad to be part of this group! I hadn't driven my car for a few weeks, was out of town, and today seeing that the navigation for Android doesn't show on the HUD had me very confused!

So now I am not confused. The question is whether Porsche will do anything about it?

The iPhone I tried with had a separate issue. A different iPhone still works, so this really points to a problem with the Google Maps update.

Same issue here with a macan 4, can't get either Google Maps or Apple maps to show in the HUD. It used to work fine. It also happened a day after we did the latest software update at the dealership, maybe just bad timing.

Tested my HUD again today:

iPhone car play with apple maps works ✓

Android Auto with Google maps does not work ×

Android Auto with Waze does not work ×

My car has the VR28.13 update

I have the same issue. I did get it to work again one time by turning the HUD off, and then on again. But it randomly stops again, don't know why.

I don't think this is a Porsche problem, I think this is a Google problem. I've filed a bug report through my Google One subscription, but I expect it won't do much.

Have I ever had luck trying to get Google to fix bugs in consumer software? No.

Exactly. But Google will send a popup that says "how was your android auto experience today?".....

And I always give them my 100% honest opinion about my experience. Hasn't worked yet though

I just noticed that today, after reading this post. I know when I picked up my car in December, AA was pushing information to the HUD. But today, i noticed that it wasn't there. I don't use AA that much, mainly use PCP navigation. But the car has had no software updates AFAIK
