We've had our Macan 4s for about a week and love 99% about it. Just a fantastic ride. However a few quirks that I was hoping someone else had found solutions for:

1. Vehicle charging. Pull up in app to check how far along and message always says status is 2+hours ago. Doesn't seem to refresh.

2. We generally listen to YouTube music and have Android devices. Other cars we have, including a 992 and a Macan S, shut off car, open door music stops. Here, shut off car, open door, music switches to playing on the phone.

3. Gauge display - how do I get rid of the speed limit and other associated signs from the left hand speedometer?

Thanks all.

  1. Not sure - try the usual tricks such as reinstall the app, check that the car has a good cell connection, be patient and in time it might resolve itself
  2. Check your phone settings for Android Auto (also read this thread https://www.macanevowners.com/forum...eeps-playing-on-phone-after-exit.21838/page-2)
  3. You can't other than choose a different display for that area of the screen. See https://manual.porsche.com/#/wpi/XA..._GB/topic/id/6de9b047c7f3ca508d24c0b35ab97754 - available options are described here - https://manual.porsche.com/#/wpi/XA..._GB/topic/id/fcc2d53c2e0830198d24c0b34de4cc70 Specific for your display, select it and then use the thumb wheel to scroll to the next available option and press to customise if available

Thanks. Nice to see I'm not crazy on the music thing.

For #2, Here's how I "fixed" it: I have a samsung phone and created a Samsung Routine which detects when Android Auto disconnects and simply closes my music app (spotify in my case). It's worked great and I haven't had any surprise phone music in a long time. If you have a samsung, you can try it, not sure if other brands have a similar feature.

Yes — if your car disconnects from your iPhone over Bluetooth or CarPlay, you can make a Shortcuts automation that pauses playback automatically, so the music does not keep blasting from the phone speaker.idownloadblog+1
Best setup
If your car uses Bluetooth, create a personal automation in Shortcuts triggered by that specific Bluetooth device disconnecting, then run a Pause action.idownloadblog+1
If your car uses CarPlay, you can do the same with a CarPlay disconnect automation instead. CarPlay disconnect is available as an automation trigger, and Bluetooth disconnect is also described as usable for pausing playback on recent iPhone setups.reddit+2
How to make it
  1. Open Shortcuts on your iPhone and go to Automation.idownloadblog+1
  2. Tap + or New Automation.idownloadblog+1
  3. Choose Bluetooth and select your car, or choose CarPlay if that is how your phone connects in the car.idownloadblog+1
  4. Set the trigger to Is Disconnected and choose Run Immediately.idownloadblog+1
  5. Add an action for Play/Pause and set it to Pause.midatlanticconsulting+1
  6. Save the automation. From then on, when the car shuts off and the iPhone disconnects, playback should pause automatically.midatlanticconsulting+1
Important note
Older discussions say Shortcuts used to support Bluetooth connect more reliably than Bluetooth disconnect, which is why some people used Driving Focus as a workaround. More recent guides specifically describe an Is Disconnected Bluetooth automation, so this likely depends on your iOS version.reddit+2
If it does not work
  • Try CarPlay disconnect instead of Bluetooth if your car supports CarPlay.reddit+1
  • Re-pair the car in Bluetooth settings if the device does not appear correctly in Shortcuts.youtube
  • As a fallback, you can use a Driving Focus turns off style workaround if your setup does not expose the disconnect trigger properly.talk.automators+1
If you want, I can give you the exact tap-by-tap steps for Bluetooth or CarPlay. Which one does your car use?

Start this with thanks to you guys for this level of reply. Pretty impressive.
I have a Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Not sure it has the same ability as what you described with your Samsung.
