Hello !

Just wanted to get some thoughts on my 2026 GTS spec - PTGM2YI0

There is a 2024 turbo available 8k KM and about 35k cheaper - similar spec but black on black without burmaster - thoughts on which one to go with ? On one had faster but older batter … and cost savings, other hand GTS new spec but a little slower .

both are "over powered" and you can't use their full potential on normal streets - I'd go with the better options package personally…

see my comparision of my Loaner 4 vs my Personal Turbo - https://www.macanevowners.com/forum/threads/thoughts-macan-4-loaner-vs-macan-turbo-ev-owned.24721/

based on my assessment options trump power for the Macan Ev fleet…

I highly doubt there is much difference in dead-stop acceleration unless you're in launch control...and once both cars are rolling any power differences will be very very hard to distinguish…

GTS 0-60 3.6 seconds - 563 hp
Turbo 0-60 3.1 seconds - 630 hp

that difference is _ONLY_ from a dead stop _AND_ with launch control engaged!!

I dare anyone to tell the difference in normal driving or off track…

for me a 2026 gets a slight edge because it's a more refined product and has digital-key (a big draw for me)

I would suggest the actual daily performance differences would be minimal - but notice/miss options one might have that the other doesn't…

go with the better options package and you're likely to be quite happy.

my $0.02 YMMV

appreciate the feedback - can you explain more about what you mean by more refined product - I was under the impression that they were otherwise exactly the same 2024-2026 model years. but that will def make a diff for me !

GTS is 2 years "newer" than the 2024 - Porsche always makes minor and un-announced tweaks to their vehicles

normal release cycle pattern is - 8 years - with .1 and .2 version of hte "same" generation product
2024/2025 model year mostly the same
2026/2027 new trim levels, minor tweaks/improvements - most changes are un-announced - some announced (digital key for example) but always 'better" - fewer problems and components tweaks to address 1.0 issues…

2028/2029 .2 version - medium changes normally some medium level upgrades and price changes (992.1 and 992.2 911's for example have some medium/major changes - they are 4 years apart in the release cycle - hybrid motors were introducted with 992.2 911's - first in the 911 GTS and more recently the 911 Turbo)…just as an example - this was done on the 4 year cycle for current generation 911's - the 992.2 GT3 is also very very different than the 992.1 GT3…many changes…
2030/2031 - more minor changes and some special models that are limited edition (Platinum edition models tend to show up in this time frame as the generation comes to it's last two years of production)…

it's been 8 years - time for a next generation of the product…
2032/2033 - next major generation normally across the board changes and major theme changes…this will be Macan EV 2.0
rinse lather repeat…

all the 2026 model Macan EV's are more refined than their 2024/2025 cousins - most of the changes are "under the skin"…but some "peak out" like the new software for track use in the GTS and the digital key - there are probably 100's of other changes Porsche didn't tell us about…there always is.

Taycan for example the front frunk plumbling coolling system was greatly simpllfied, but Porsche didn't annnounce it or call attention to it - but if you took it apart and compared 2020/2021 to 2022/2023 Taycan - the whole front thermal management system was greatly simplified under neath the "covers"…much simpler and more reliable system with greater thermal capacity - no announced changes…but it was very very different between the two generations.

this basic pattern +/- 2 years repeats across all Porsche product lines and has been that way for at least 20+ years…

past performance is no guarantee of future returns, but this pattern is well established and is Porsche's SOP for managing change and evolution of their products.

my $0.02 YMMV

it's unlikley 2026 MY Macan EV's have not benefited from a wide range of "improvements" most of which will never be disclosed, but always come out over time as Porsche learns from the previous 2 years and makes production changes and tweaks to improve the product…

Unless you are driving in a place/way to benefit from the extra power, I’d go for the newer model and/or the better specs you would feel every day. Interior and stereo are important to me. MY26 has digital key (which I waited for) and a few other goodies you can spec like better 3D surround.

The differences start to diminish in the top of the range products. Most will not be able to tell the difference in the driving dynamics onthe road between the turbo and the GTS in most instances.

Personal preference would dictate that I would be drawn to the GTS purely for the Alcantara/racetex interior.

With that said, hard to ignore both the discount available at almost 15/20% off list (going for the used vehicle) and the insight into the potential depreciation you’re paying in the first two years on a new vehicle.

Go for the cheaper one, you always will have less depreciation, and there are always people that want the fastest. There is no noticeable improvement from a hardware perspective, not more range, not faster charging, only Apple CarKey support, if that is important to you That could be a factor. I would go for the Turbo …
