My understanding is restored to version before upgrade.
Hmmm, not ideal. I’m glad it solved the charging problem, but then you lose all the other benefits. If that’s the case, Porsche should release an updated update which is safe for everyone to adopt. Because at this point, I’m still unsure whether I should go ahead and update to
VR28.11 (Campaign WSD0). Maybe the prudent approach is to wait a few more months before making a decision!
Btw, I appreciate your willingness to share your experience :)

Interesting…

Per AI:
P0AA600 is a fault code related to the hybrid/EV battery voltage system isolation fault. Here’s a breakdown of what it involves:
What it means:
P0AA600 is a Hybrid/EV Battery Voltage System Isolation Fault, logged in the hybrid management control unit. In simple terms, it means the vehicle’s onboard diagnostics have detected a loss of electrical isolation between the high-voltage (HV) battery system and the vehicle’s chassis/ground. This is a safety-critical fault, as proper isolation is essential to protect occupants from high-voltage electric shock.
Which Porsche models are affected:
It appears most commonly on Porsche hybrid models — the Cayenne S Hybrid, Panamera S Hybrid, and similar e-hybrid variants.
Symptoms you may notice:
The car may still drive and charge regeneratively while driving, but plug-in charging may be disabled, accompanied by red and yellow warning lights on the dash.
Common causes:
∙ Damaged or degraded high-voltage wiring harness
∙ Corrosion or moisture ingress into HV connectors or the battery pack
∙ A failing hybrid battery module
∙ Issues with the battery management/isolation monitoring system itself

Although it doesn’t list the Macan EV, I suspect it may still apply. Considering that it occurred after a software update, it may related to the latter problem (issues with the battery management/isolation monitoring system). But who knows, it’s anybody’s guess until Porsche makes it clear.

My dealership has informed me they managed to “update” (reverting back to previous software version) a vehicle, and it works with at home charging. So technically it’s not an update. They’re planning on doing it on my vehicle, but since I am away on vacation, I won’t be able to do this until I get back. If this is all they’re doing, why couldn’t they do this sooner? And are they addressing this problem in future updates?
This is my first Porsche. After waiting 4 months for Porsche to solve what I consider a major problem (this is not the same as a rattling seat belt), I may have become a cynic.
If this update is simply a rollback to a previous version, then Porsche may have rationalized that since only a small percentage of owners were experiencing a charging problem, then an even smaller percentage are likely to complain about the other random problems that VR18.13 was intended to solve. Therefore, the rollback, for Porsche, is good enough for now.
Hope that's not the case.

So is Porsche sending out this update, or do I have to contact my dealership? And then, is it going to be a crapshoot if my particular dealership will even understand whether this fix that some of you are getting is something that they are capable of doing? So far, Livermore Porsche has not been able to solve my home charging problem. (I am in the boat of it used to work with the new update, and then abruptly stopped a month or two after)…

Months ago I got a letter from Porsche telling me to take the car in Macan for a software update. “Improved stability” It said. Luckily, my service manager (who leases the Macan EV for his daily vehicle) told me to hold off, that there were “some issues with the update”. So since then, I have been waiting for Porsche to send me a new letter for a revised software update. Nothing from Porsche so far.

You were told to hod off because the shops were bricking modules. Porsche rewote the procedure and there hasn't been reports of that since. Basically they need to make sure the car stays powered on.

You probably won't get another letter but may get a reminder from your dealer.
