Thx. The CTEK will keep the voltage level at about 13.5v, but the hourly spike will remain. It’s something associated with how Porsche checks the other systems in the car….at least that’s what the tech support at my dealership said. But without the trickle charger attached, the voltage level...

Good point. Either way, I’m glad it does not have a 12v Li battery….because of the expense. Removal of the 12v battery, as is, is a major pain in the but. I just went through it, and just glad I didn’t have to pay for anything.

I travel a lot and can not trickle charge when i leave it at the airport. I have a battery monitor on my two EV’s, once it kicked into to re-charge the 12v battery when I was out of town for 3 weeks, while it was bitterly cold. It saved my butt upon my return, and have no quantitative evidence...

Maybe, but at least on 2025, and newer Macan EV’s, when the 12v battery reaches around 11.7v, a protective system kicks in and briefly connects the 12v battery to the traction battery (with the appropriate voltage). I have proof of that using my Anti-Gravity battery monitor. I was also told...

Yes you can. Also, the 12v battery in the 2025 Macan EV is a AGM battery, not LiO. But, I suspect that if you have the “rear axle steering” option with the Macan, then it may come with a LiO battery, as it does with the 992.1.
