I think the the NK iX3 is a very impressive car in nearly every respect it seems to be the new benchmark. Early drives seem to indicate it might even give the Macan a run for its money for driving enjoyment.
You might have to update us, but we're pretty astute around here. So far you we know that you don't like the quality of the new Macan, didn't think it drives very well, take glee in selectively sharing sales figures which don't tell the full story, delight in reminding us that Porsche have a...
Choice is good I guess, but not for me, With such a short development cycle expect it to drive just like a Q5 (which is underwhelming), unlike the previous ICE Macan.
I somehow think that by the time this thing emerges in 2028 it will no longer be required.
I never seen anything from Porsche or its CEO stating that sales are not as high as expected. In fact, all PR and reporting has been quite the opposite.
That M1 is basically a Q5 in drag, really quite an unappealing offering, and it’s not here until 2028.
Quick update on this for those wondering -- I've had a proper apology from Porsche NZ Managing Director and the dealer. I'm obviously being credited for the value of the option and they are adding an extra year of full Porsche factory warranty to my Turbo. I'm fairly happy with all of that.
I have been told that the option has been removed from the NZ and AU configurators, there will be no fix, and it will never be offered in our market again. Is that accurate? I don't know, but that is what they are saying.
This is the response I've had from my Porsche dealer, let's just say there is an ongoing negotiation about this matter. Not impressed, especially as I was not told or consulted at all.
Yeah I feel something has been removed as the sockets and plugs that remain in their don’t appear match, but I didn’t try too hard too plug things back in.
I definitely chose this option (and paid for it) and it was on the car when delivered, it has subsequently been removed by Porsche Service when it was in for one of it’s service visits.
Whilst working in the boot/trunk of the Macan Turbo yesterday I tried to open the flap on the AC outlet on the left hand side. This had previously opened easily to reveal a multi pin socket suitable for many plugs worldwide (US, China, New Zealand/Australia). It would not open, first I thought...
I've not experienced any software problems in my Turbo apart from the issue where CarPlay won't connect if the phone connects to the cars own WiFi hotspot -- that hasn't occurred for a long time now. I have had a couple of hardware failures though -- one child lock failure on the day of delivery...
