I’d prefer you move on and let us discuss this please.
The feature in the app is new for Macan: fact.
Whether it leads to anything further we do not know, but you don’t either. Something has changed in the back-end to enable this for the Macan so there is some hope we might see some updates...
Yep just ignore W1nge, he likes to make up all sorts of things, doesn’t own a Macan and there are countless threads on here he has taken on a wild good chase.
Fact: this option was not on my app for the Macan electric until the last day or so.
Yeah, you’re quite right. The Android apps update setting is not what this setting is referring to. The fact it has a prominent UI and description within the mobile app is encouraging.
Time will tell what gets delivered via this mechanism though.
Is it showing for all owners, not just those on...
It does only run the PCM, but in the absence of any other way to confirm an upgrade has been applied we’re left with this.
I think the assumption is that some Android Automotive components did get updated as part of 28.13 too.
Mine is booked in for next Thursday (I'm travelling so doing the update while I'm away). Confirmed it is VR28.13.
I'm keen to hear from the early upgraders and hear reports on what has changed, cosmetic or otherwise.
I've just a had a reply from my service manager. It has not been received by them yet, but they are aware of it and expect it to be available in NZ tomorrow. They want a few days to install on workshop loan vehicles first before applying to customer cars. They've tentatively booked me in for...
I’ve just dropped an email to my service manager here in NZ. I’ll see if any news of the update has made it to him and if there are any details about What it includes.
I configured a GTS in IGM to see what it might look like, obviously the Turbo has some fake vents at the rear, but overall this is something I'd consider, minimal, tasteful, but adds just a little bit of extra sportiness to the rear end, which I honestly think is missing on the Turbo.
I love mine, and I’ve had them in previous cars. I am lucky I don’t have greasy/oily hands, and if you wash the wheel now and then they are not as hard to maintain as many people think. Leather steering wheels do like to get a shIny look which I don’t find that nice either.
I had the rear motor wiring harness performed on my Turbo (I think it is just a Turbo campaign?), they also mentioned the rear boot cover which is on the way. NZ based here.
Yep, unlike the narrative we seem to hear - the problem is not EV adoption, it’s China, and now unfortunately the US — these are the major concerns for European carmakers. In Europe and the rest of the world EV adoption is going along just fine.
