Does your Macan EV keep SoC stable when left idle for a week or longer?

Went on vacation for a week and left with 69% charge. Came back this morning with the charge at 69%. I'm not complaining, my M3 lost about 1% per day.

Just normal consumption, a bit higher than in the summer. About 20kW/100km where in the summer I average about 17kW/100km.

I noticed that consumption it shows is far less than the actual drop in SoC, especially in winter. Or maybe this happens only when it is already is a "bad" state when it loses SoC while idle. I saw 5km drive and 3% SoC drop while consumption was around 30. And this is confirmed by energy consumed during charging, it consumed exactly (target - SoC), so SoC display was accurate (vs the case when it grew 3% while parked for few hours after the drive, which I saw earlier).

Just remembered - manual says that when the car left for long time, you need to charge it to 50% and check the SoC every 3 months and charge when it drops to 25%. How is it possible to keep 25% in 3 months from 50% if it loses 1% per day?

I did a small experiment. For some time my SoC has been losing about 1% per day. I started to suspect the 12V auxiliary battery. OK, I didn't plan on using the car for three days, so I connected the smart AGM battery charger and left it on for about six hours until it reached 100% (it started at 80%). I locked the car and waited three days. Result: 0% SoC loss.

If this is confirmed, it seems to point to the culprit: the auxiliary battery. The main battery is probably working too hard to charge the auxiliary one.

Without precise data from Porsche on how the battery system works, everything is just speculation.

I've only done this once. I'll have to repeat it to confirm, but if anyone else experiencing the 1% loss wants to try it...

Drop of 1% a day is not normal unless car is parked in bellow freezing temperatures and there is a big difference between battery temp when you park the car and open it again. No matter Porsche saying that it is within tolerance. When you power off your car everything should normally run by 12V battery with HV battery being used to charge that 12V battery in case that it is running low hence manual saying that this can happen if the car is stationary for prolonged periods (same with any other ICE car).

When I was buying a car I especially asked about phantom drain as I saw it being acknowledged on Volvo EX90 and Polestar 3 as something expected within 72hours is losing around 3% every 24 hours of parking car. This is directly confirmed from manufacturer as expected behaviour as they wait 72 hours before fully shutting down main computer in the car, because it takes long time for it to boot up (All initial customers were promised replacement for never faster chips that will resolve that issue.) When I mentioned this to Porsche sales person she just laughed and said that their EV cars have no such problems, because they know to build them properly.

When my car was new this was not happening to it. Issue showed up like many other reporting on this forum around September (my car was 3 months old at that time). Around this time my car went for first maintenance check, because it was unable to hit target charging limit (when set to 80% it was random number between 77% and 82% when set to 100% it was 97%). Other reported issues included music stopping randomly during a drive and estimated arrival SOC in planner showing that I will arrive at destination with higher SOC than current SOC (no charging stop planned). They confirmed that they saw some error messages in diagnostic and did SW upgrade that was supposed to fix everything. That visit fixed only music problem for me.

After this visit I also started noticing random drops in SOC when car was parked (sometimes 1% a day, sometimes 4% in 2.5days, and sometimes 1% drops in a matter of minutes) and also higher consumption when driving. Both behaviours seems to be fully random for me and there are days when everything seems fine. Car went for another big SW update in November with Porsche stating again that everything will be fixed by this. Long story short it was not, and recently even music problem returned (now with new exciting variations) alongside with new problems showing up. Only thing that got fixed somehow is estimated SOC at arrival, but even that I one was most likely fixed by me discovering that it is tied to my profile only and calculation works fine under Guest profile. Then after few longer drives with Guest profile and switching back to mine profile calculation was fixed. When I asked Porsche about it they had not real explanation why this happened.

As this thread or this one or even Porsche Macan EV Owners group on Facebook show this is clearly not one defective unit problem, and while it is also not widespread problem it is still something that seems to be happening to multiple owners. Why I have honestly no idea. But based on my car which is getting slowly more and more issues with random occurrences I would wage that it is some HW/SW problem that needs certain conditions to be triggered.

Like someone already said here I believe only way is to keep reporting this to dealers until one of us finds one willing to do proper in-depth diagnostic with hopefully solution that could be shared here as a hint for other dealers where to look.

Why we need to be hoping for this on new cars with sticker price 100+k made by brand bragging about their attention to detail and premium costumer service I honestly don't know. All I know is that I cant imagine them explaining their ICE customers that their cars can constantly be leaking 1% of fuel every day rather then properly inspecting and fixing the leak.

You’re aware they’re incentivized to have you buy one of their cars, right? Also, they can’t have already forgotten how many issues the first Taycans had.

When I talked to a salesman after I first got issues with my Macan EV, he had hard time hiding that I was not the only one. He said a small number of customers had issues, but most were happy. Not the best pitch!

It's already 3 weeks my car is parked in a friend's underground parking.When parked SoC was at 68%.One week later it was at 67% so essentially the loss was negligible.During that week there wasn't a single time I used the app.Some days later I unintentionally used the app as I wanted just to check some charging points on the map.11 days later (couple of days ago) my friend reported me the SoC was at 50%!!!Temps inside the parking are between 10-15°C.
On another time a while ago I intentionally left the car parked inside my parking for 12 days without using the app a single time.Result was 1% loss for the time period.
Every time the app is used there's a significant power loss.Now it was almost 1,5%/day!
Next report by my friend will be in about a week or so.I'm very courious to see what will happen now I'm staying away of the app.However I keep thinking there might be something triggered by the app when it's used and demands power from the main battery.
Another rather strange thing is that my battery temp is stable at 21° all the time despite OAT is 15° at the most!!
