Center cap scratches

I had the exact same situation on my 4S. When I was in for the software update an camera recall I pointed it out to my SA. He took a few pictures and the next day I was notified replacements were ordered under warranty. The new ones looked clean and I hope they stay that way. I’m sure Porsche will replace yours. Btw, no answer was given as to why it happened..

I reached out to Porsche Customer Service, they basically just said to take it to the service center to get evaluated and nothing can really be done on their end. So I just made an appointment for this to be evaluated by service.

I know that no vehicle is perfect, but I am surprised by the number of issues I have had with this Macan Turbo in the first 2000 miles of ownership. Multiple HVAC issues, interior door rattling, center caps color disintegrating. Service and customer service has been a positive among the negatives though.

My dealer will replace them under warranty.

I finally remembered to check mine this morning, they are perfect. Had the car since mid February ’25. Never used any harsh wheel cleaners.

Porsche customer service got involved. Agreed to replace caps under warranty and will have my dealer complete the replacements on Monday. I was surprised the center caps were so readily available. Another Porsche Macan part for the interior took 4 months to get replaced.

I finally remembered to check mine this morning, they are perfect. Had the car since mid February ’25. Never used any harsh wheel cleaners.

Also never used harsh cleaners. Car had been washed total 3 times in 1900 miles and garage kept. 2 times at the dealership and one hand wash by myself with ph neutral wash foam. I exclusively hand wash my cars, with Griotts Garage and Adams products.
This seemed like more of a QC issue. My build was from 2024.

Checked mine and nothing. Note I have the 22” Macan Sports wheel so my hub is painted black and not sure if this helps or not.

My center caps (with not damage) are also not the standard color since my 22" RS Spyders are painted in Turbonite. It's quite possible that the damage is unique to center caps with a silver background.

Seems like it’s a silver issue. And maybe early build silver issue. Hopefully it’ll be sorted out now.
