Meet the all-electric Macan EV at a Porsche Experience Center (free!)

Last Tuesday, after an invitation from my dealer, I attended the 'unveiling' of the Macan for the Netherlands. Nice but busy and just static. No test drive, but it was possible to sit in the car. The importer indicates that the Macan will not be in the showroom until September. An email to a...

What is/was your vehicle before electric Macan EV?

That is surely interesting. Perhaps the dealers in the USA are more honest 😬 My dealer told me that they had it on a demo Cayenne and almost everyone specced it after trying. But you’re right, the Macan is a relatively small car and the benefit is not as great as on a large one. I had it once...

What is/was your vehicle before electric Macan EV?

Your configuration is very similar to mine. I only chose the jet black metallic/ chalk beige combination. The expensive leather package with contrasting color stitching. No musician, so for me the Bose that I also have in my Taycan. Perhaps a tip for you: rear-wheel steering. In the reviews and...

What is/was your vehicle before electric Macan EV?

Ordered a Macan 4, drive a Taycan ST RWD now. The Taycan is my fist electric car and I bought it after a Macan 2.0. The Taycan was meant as a bridge to the electric Macan. I assumed 1 year, but that turned out to be at least 2 and with the delivery 3 years… I'm completely convinced, electric...

2024 Macan EV Reviews (Articles & Videos)!

Thank you for your detailed response to my thoughts. You are right, there will indeed be at least one variant between the 4 and the turbo. I think Kyle says in his video that he previously drove a camouflaged model where Macan S was on display. Today I received the magazine with the article I...

2024 Macan EV Reviews (Articles & Videos)!

I agree with you, it's just one opinion. Still, I saw that there are differences between the 4 and the turbo. The weight distribution is 50-50 compared to 48-52 with the turbo. The heavier engine is also mounted on the chassis with the turbo and on the subframe with the 4. That gives a different...

2024 Macan EV Reviews (Articles & Videos)!

Thanks, I saw his review. The driving test itself was again with a turbo. That's what Kyle and Edmunds did better.

2024 Macan EV Reviews (Articles & Videos)!

Thanks for listing all the driving tests. Too bad that it mainly tested the Macan turbo and hardly the Macan 4. Only 'Out of Specs' and 'Edmunds' pay sufficient attention to the 4. Because I have a 4 on order, I would have liked more information about it. It also doesn't help that a Dutch...

Macan EV at the NY auto show

And to make it even worse: I just made the same configuration with the same specs for a Macan turbo in the US as I made for my Macan 4 in the Netherlands. How bizarre: the price for the Macan 4 in the Netherlands is € 114.025 and the Macan turbo in the US costs $ 114.240… That’s about €...

Macan EV at the NY auto show

And we, the customers in Europe, are paying the bill. When I make exactly the same configuration of my Macan 4 on the Porsche Car Configurator in the US it’s $ 96.000. With the current exchange rate that’s € 88.600. My car however costs with the same configuration in the Netherlands the amount...

    Rear Wiper or not…

A nice out of the box solution Yves. We agree on the need of the wiper, indeed 6 months… However, I’m not that technical 😬 Perhaps a good idea for someone who is and who wants to share this in the near future?

    Rear Wiper or not…

Thanks Adrian, the last push for my definitive choice: I‘m going to choose for the wiper. On the Taycan you could spec a high gloss painted one. ‘Paint it black’ 😉 will be the best aftermarket compromise.

    Rear Wiper or not…

Thanks, certainly helpful. The Dutch weather gives every reason for a wiper, if I’m honest. I tend to go for the looks, but it’s probably better to go for practicality…

    Rear Wiper or not…

Perhaps you’re right. I have time before my order is permanent to try out RainX on my Taycan. It does have a spoiler and the Macan doesn’t but them I can try if this works. Otherwise maybe an ugly wiper 😬

    Rear Wiper or not…

Although only a small detail, I have doubts in my configuration about the rear wiper. Without a wiper the rear looks much better, I think. But is this practical? Every time I use it the wiper on my Taycan ST makes a scratching sound on the rear window, actually already after a few months. That...

    Taycan vs Macan ?

You forget a real nice feature of the Macan: it has a sunroof that really can be opened. My sunroof on the Taycan is nice and huge, but always ‘closed’. In my previous Macan I had the sunroof as an option and I remember the front panel that could be opened was so big that it gave you a kind of...

    From I-Pace to Macan 4

Already in march Ross? That’s quicker than in the Netherlands. I’m curious about your impression, but you’ll no doubt write about it. I specked a lot on my car, but I have my doubts about the 21” Macan Design wheels. They look very nice (on my Taycan I have the 20” Aero’s) but may be less...

    From I-Pace to Macan 4

I owned an Macan and now since two years a Taycan. I think the seats in the previous Macan were a bit thicker, so there was some doubt about the Taycan. That was completely unnecessary. I have the 14 way adjustable ones and they are really great. Even long journeys to the south of France are...

    Turbo vs 4 (UK)

In the Netherlands there is already an increase of the price of € 4.445,—. Porsche calls it “expected rise of price change of modelyear”, code MS3. You can’t order a 4 or turbo without paying this extra amount…
