I do not get what this is for?
They look like what already comes standard with 21/22" wheels.
Why are they a Tequipment part?

Interesting, would love to hear the reasoning behind that from those willing to spend 500 gbp or whatever 300 + fitting is to make their car look the same/worse than before.

Looking at internet pictures of Macans with the 20" wheels the wheel arch extensions look the same to me. I checked the wheel offset & tyre size and if my calculations are correct the wheel arch extension would be 5mm wider in the front.
If this is correct I doubt anyone without measuring could spot the difference and it would actually make the wheels look pushed in even more so a worse look.

Also again, why is it a Tequipment part and not just a normal part for replacement after a crash/scuff.

Surely I am missing something.

these arches are standard on orders with 21's, 22's and the fender sizes are matches to the wheel offsets
They are about 10mm-12mm wider...and if you bought the car with 20's, and want to upsize to 21's or 22's, you need to get these fenders to match because they'll stick out past the fenders otherwise.

it's a decent way to go...i optioned 20's on my car, and instead of playing $5k+ on porsche wheels, i only spent $3k on aftermarket wheels i like better + the $500 fenders

I hear you but that would be financial suicide.
The 21" cost me 2K, the same wheels from Porsche including these wheel arch extensions would cost me 7K so 5K more plus all the hassle minus what I could get for the old wheels.

How to do you arrive to the 10-12mm difference, I calculated 5mm (could easily be mistaken):
255 vs. 235mm tyre width difference = 20mm so 10mm from center line
27 vs. 32mm wheel offset = 5mm difference
10 - 5 = 5mm wider in the front

All the Tequipment parts I have in my other Porsche cannot be found in the standard options, things like aluminium gear knob/handbrake, etc.

that's more than 5 mm ...
Wow, those look like 3x wider, I will have to pass by the dealer to see the difference irl as I have seen many Macan models with 20" wheels and apart from the massive sidewalls the rest looked the same to me.

EDIT: For some reason I was expecting these to also use glue for fitting, good that they don't.

I might be wrong, but possibly to increase
range due to optimised aerodynamics.
