I wonder if CHP is referring to the Porsche tracker rather than an immobiliser as I believe all UK Macan’s have an immobiliser ? I do have a Porsche / Vodafone tracker fitted. I’m driving this morning so hopefully it won’t reoccur.

I'm going to tag in @CHP which has some information regarding this for the UK market, and issues with his car that is connected to that (according to the dealer).
Thanks - I think @CHP is referring to a tracker which I don’t have on my Macan 4S EV.

No, he specifically said immobilizer. I just re-read our conversation :) Anyhow, just trying to help. Hope you get a solution to your issue, either way.

Thanks - I could only find mention of tracker - can you send precise post as I’m at dealer in 90 minutes- many thanks and I will post the outcome on here. Meant to be travelling to France next week and worried!

Yes, it's the Vodafone tracker. The Vodafone s5 vts plus (the one Porsche installs) allows to immobilise car remotely. This is what apparently causes the problem.

A "Thatcham 5 plus immobiliser" refers to a high-security stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) system that is Thatcham-approved and combines an S5 standard tracker with an engine immobiliser that uses a Driver ID (DID) tag or smartphone app for authorised driver recognition. This system provides 24/7 monitoring and tracking, alert notifications for theft or unauthorized movement, and prevents the vehicle from starting unless the authorized driver is present with their tag or app, effectively blocking key cloning and relay attacks

Geez, I'd understand such measures for some African republic (no offense, just facts), but what exactly are you guys dealing with in the UK? Is theft at Mad Max levels?

I don’t have that.

No idea - that’s what the technician said ! Do you know?
No idea. My car is nearly 4 weeks at dealer. Only drove it for a week. Took delivery early September. First Macan EV rejected in March. By the way, whats the rear motor recall. I have a 4S as well.
