I cannot send any pre-conditioning instructions to the vehicle, or flash indicators etc.
Think this could be a back end application/ Porsche connect issue.

There is a problem with the backend application (server) that prevents sending vehicle requests.

It did appear to be working, but believe it’s not again. Also, after yesterdays factory reset and going through the rigmarole of re-downloading apps, configuration of settings etc, when I came out to the vehicle this morning, it logged me into my account in the PCM but all configurations and applications were gone, almost as if something was pushed overnight by Porsche. It’s absolutely infuriating

Sorry to hear about your multiple issues. I hope they get it sorted soon.
Some have been unluckier than the others. I have had no issues at all, except plug & charge greyed out.
Once all sorted, I bet you will love your Turbo better

So many software issues with the Macan in the UK, more than elsewhere. Makes me wonder whether there is something different about the cellphone system there, or whether the car is “confused” when driving on the “wrong side” or “right side” (which is what people in the UK think). Not trying to think about conspiracies… Germans doing it on purpose due to their know “love for the British” or Chinese hacking the system to promote their cars! Just saying… lol

You may actually be on to something. The UK is a European market with the same basic regulations as the EU, but we use miles not kilometres and we drive on the left. So the software for the UK has to be somewhat of a hybrid between the US (miles), the EU (many regulations) and Asia (driving on the left), which gives many opportunities for errors!

If you are at home, connect the car to your home wifi (I also own a Tesla and you have to connect it to wifi for most software updates, so I'm used to doing this!), elsewhere, you will have the same issue with other cars (e.g., Tesla) where there is no 4/5G signal.

Today my 4 suddenly went from approx. 70% SoC (360km) til 0% (0 km). Everything is offline...

Nothing to do with the cell network and these types of issues plagued the Taycan in the early days (and still can occur from time to time). My theory is that back office housekeeping on a per region basis may knock out various services that you use through the app and can take a while to re-establish themselves.

There is also a problem between Android & iOS that I've noticed on the latest app release specifically in the Preheat / Pre-Condition / Pre-Climate (yes 3 different names for the same feature depending where you live) which depicts my car as if it were LHD (I'm an Android user).

Software quality (as we know by now) is a core weakness with the Porsche platform (VW CEO (Herbert Deiss) lost his job over it in 2022 as it impacted the group of which Porsche is part) and it will take time to address this - not only the app(s) but also the PCMs and vehicle design.

Not VW Group's finest hour.

I’ve got various tickets in with Smart Mobility to resolve - I will keep the thread updated if there’s anything pertinent to others.

One thing they kept asking me to do was open the My Porsche app, shake it vigorously which should open the instabug reporting feature - I’ve tried this on two different iOS devices and neither offer this functionality.

Please could others try and advise if this works for them?
