I bought my Macan 4 EV from the dealer (no other owner) in march 2025 and after barely 10K miles, the service department tell me I need new tires…?? Is that normal?
I’m thinking of going somewhere else to buy Bridgeton or cheaper tires… what are you thought?

Personally, I would not spend $100k+ (or pay the lease payment on a $100k+ vehicle) and not equip it with the proper tires. As a first time Porsche owner, you may or may not be aware that Porsche specifies specific tires for your Macan 4 (or any other Porsche that you may happen to own).

Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari all work with the major tire manufacturers to come up with specific compound for their particular applications. I’m sure any tire that fits your Macan 4 will work; however, I wouldn’t expect that tire to give you the performance that Porsche has engineered into the vehicle.

I assume you mean ‘Bridgestone’ tires?

Couple suggestions and I’m sure others will chime in.

Be sure you’re checking your tire pressures when the tires are fully cold and/or haven’t been driven on for ~7 hours. Personally, I run them at the pressures noted on the door jamb at the fully loaded psi - others will have different opinions.

Do some research online - e.g. TireRack.com - and check out pricing for quality tires for your Macan 4. I would suggest the tires that are approved by Porsche - admittedly, they will cost more likely than other tires that are not Porsche approved.

If you stray from the Porsche recommended tires (code: NEO), make sure your tires are the XL (extra load) version as they are suited for heavy cars (EV’s in general)
