I Have my key at a distance. Lock the car, put the key 10meters away and now power wash :) .
Or after locking, put the key in a Faraday pouch and then power wash.
I am now in a habit of doing it after luggage was stolen from the boot of my car whilst travelling in France.

Actually with the Taycan I just disable the key. Not sure if you can still do that with the new Macan key. Tbh it's a faff. Maybe it means I'm getting old. If I lock the car then mirrors closed and it might trigger the alarm. That in turn means a phone call from Vodaphone to make sure no one has stolen the car. After that I still need to unlock to do the shuts and bootlid and mirrors properly.

My car prior to collection.

@aks
I wonder. 🤔
But my luggage got stolen from the boot of my car when parked at a motorway services in France.
When I returned to the car after the lunch break, unlocked the car, and opened the boot, it was empty!
Ruined our holiday :(

That sucks! However, no pouch is gonna stop theives capturing the key as you lock the car, *if* the key can be captured at all. It does make me wonder what actually happened, and I'm sure you've scratched your head over that too!

The French police said these thieves have the technology to do what they did. When I returned to the UK, the Porsche dealer said the same.
I remember when I mentioned this incident on another thread, @WINGE , our Porsche oracle here said so too.
