Since owning the car I have never seen any benefit from the supposed charger pad cooling - the phone overheats while projecting android auto onto both centre & dash screens, and then the charge rate reduces and so you actually get a net loss from using the wireless charger.
I've never been able to feel any airflow from the wireless pad or the small holes on it. Is there a way to check the airflow is functioning? Does it only blow when a phone is actively charging on it?
The manual does not state anything specific to turning on the cooling function:

Any feedback much appreciated
