I just got my car back from the dealership and plugged it in at home. Still not charging. I called my hydro provider to come check our lines to test for spikes or irregularities with the voltage coming into the house. This is sort of my last idea to try. If Porsche doesn’t know how to fix it, I think I am done with this car.

An interesting problem you have there, 248V is right up there I'd say. Have you been able to try AC charge somewhere else with lower voltage?

In a German forum someone reports Porsche stopped rolling out the update. Their appointment was cancelled. Anyone else experienced this?

I also have a problem with Plug and Charge at home with both my permanent charger and the Porsche supplied charger. DC Plug and Charge on the road works fine. Car will only Plug and Charge at home if I change the user account to GUEST. It will also charge if I specify a departure time and wait for the car to charge. I contacted PORSCHE but they were unable to offer any suggestions. I tried to contact the dealer's "Porsche PRO product specialist" but he did not return my call. As a last resort I did a factory reset, then uninstalled and reinstalled the Plug and Charge certificate. It did not solve the problem. This software is crazy. Any suggestions?

This problem only occurred after the VR28.13 update.
You use Plug and Charge to authenticate to a home charged? I was always wondering if that works. Do you need a separate certificate?
I have also a charging station at home that requires NFC or App authentication. Would be great to replace that with P&C. Apparently it is in the works for my charger.

I don't know if a certificate is required for home charging. What I do know is that prior to the update, I simply plugged in at home and it charged.

My car was due to be updated today, got a call from the dealer early in the week suggesting I rebook. They had updated two cars and it bricked them to such an extent that they would not start - they're waiting on Germany to tell them how that happened and how to resolve it. I’ve rebooked for mid Jan

For most home chargers there shouldn’t be a need for one. You would also need an ability to add the cert to the charger.

We just picked our Macan up from the dealer from having the VR28.13 update done. No problems on the drive home, and it AC charges at home fine. It's on the EVSE in our garage right now.

I called hydro provider and they came yesterday to check the line to line voltage, and they got 250v. I am going to my friend’s place tomorrow and bringing my charger with me to see if it charges at his place. If it does, then it means the latest update which “optimized charging” probably changed the threshold parameters during the initializing process/checks and the voltage at my home’s infrastructure is beyond the set limit so the car goes “uh oh” voltage is too high, chance of overheating a possibility, red flag, stop charging process. The car charges at dealership, and the dealership’s manager’s home as well.

Just picked up a 2025 S CPO and it came with the new update. No issues for charging at home and Plug and Charge working fine with Electrify Canada.
