I receive my Macan 4 early December 2024. Great car that I like to drive.
Mid-December, while car was sitting in the carport, the alarm started sounding with alarm message related to front trunk. The dealer verified all the alarm codes without finding any issue.
Six days ago, the same thing happen again … alarm went On. My Macan 4 is still at the dealer. Hopefully they will find something. I don’t think I am the first one with this issue. Any comments ??

I thought @shawn maybe had the same problem but don’t remember the outcome. I could be wrong. Maybe it only happens to Canadians :)

Correct I had an alarm go off for the rear trunk. The issue was that the dealership did not install a module during the initial set up and they had a newer version and installed it. I would take your car to Service and have them make sure that the alarm system software is the latest version. I think that the software from the factory at least in my case was not the latest. It has never happened since.

Hi. Got a new Macan 4 EL 19.12.2025. From day one the back door won't lock completely and had to drive with an incredibly noisy warning sound in the car. At the same time it started refusing to open the first time every morning more than a couple of centimeters. Been to the workshop 3 times and replaced most of the rear there, but they can't solve the problem. Anyone else who has experienced something similar?

I've had this exact issue on mine only it started at 4am in my garage at home , then again in the wee hours of the morning and again shortly after. The car wouldn't lock as it said the frunk was open, which is wasn't, then the frunk randomly opened up when nothing had been pressed on the key (overnight - I found it open in the morning), then again said it wasn't closed when it was so I couldn't lock the car.

Porsche Assist took in into the dealer that day, who initially couldn't get it to replicate for several hours, until they were locking up the paddock and it happened to go off whilst parked up.

It ended up being a faulty locking mechanism on the frunk, which was replaced and resolved the issue.
