Interior Door Handle Illumination?

On my Turbo, there is no illumination in the small recesses around the interior door handles. This makes it difficult for a passenger unfamiliar with the location to find the handle at night (especially with an all black interior). The configurator images imply that there is illumination in this area (see screenshot below), however it may just be showing reflection from other lighting.

Is my Turbo missing this lighting? All I have is the communication light strip and diffuse door lighting below the handle.

I think this may be why I’ll switch my build from having black accents to either neodyme or silvershade instead. The latter likely being more reflective of the ambient lighting, improving visibility at night.

Our 4S also does not have the lighting by the door handle. And, we too, struggle to locate the handle at night. If it's supposed to be there, I'll happily take it back to the dealer for repair. We just thought it was a "feature".

Have the turbonite accents do not have an issue locating the handle at night. Must be the black on black. Cool look though

I have also turbonite handles, easy to find.

We have the black accents in our Turbo too and have the same problem.

The cabin is filled with great lighting accents, some which provide useful information but to not have even a tiny bit of visibility to the door handles seems like a serious oversight - could be dangerous in the wrong situation.

In the 4S, the door handles are easy to see with the standard Silvershade trim.
