I just went out and tried both phones again (a day after the PCM reset) and CarPlay is working the way it used to on both of them. Note, one of them is on IOS 16, the other is on IOS 26, so the IOS doesn't seem to matter. For me, the only way to get this fixed was a factory reset of the PCM...
I tried lengthening the password and no luck. I then upgraded my phone to IOS 26. Still no luck. I then called Porsche technical support. After 2 hours of pairing, forgetting Bluetooth and re-pairing, they had me reset the pcm to factory settings. After logging back in and pairing the phone...
I'm on iPhone 16 Pro. And I should add that we had taken the car in for service and got it back a few days ago. They did install a big software update. I asked about the software version that was installed, but the service person didn't know.
Same thing happened to me today. The only way I can get Carplay to work is to wire my phone and even then it works oddly (the carplay icon appears and disappears from the PCM). And yes, I've rebooted the PCM, deleted and re-added both of our phones. Very frustrating. Note, I did an upgrade...
There were a group of cars produced in the early days where the installation of the frunk caused the ac lines to get pinched. This causes a slow leak in the refrigerant. They need to replace the ac lines and then refill the refrigerant. This happened to me and my dealership corrected it the...
We just returned from a 1300 mile road trip. We charged at 7 EA stations during the trip. We only had to wait twice and then only for 5 minutes. All chargers were 350 k and all charged very fast (170-260k).
Several of the stations were located close to Tesla charge stations. It was hard not to...
We live in San Francisco and we’ve also been seeing consistently long range lately (the same as yours). An interesting data point is that we’ve been having a cold Spring, so I wonder what will happen when it starts averaging 60 f (16 C)? I’ve noticed our battery is in the mid to low 50s...
We’ve had our 4 since October. Our phones intermittently can use the car’s 5g hotspot. I check this by turning off cellular data and then accessing a site. When it works, it’s fast. When it doesn’t, it’s dead. Note when it doesn’t, our phones connect to the car’s 5g WiFi network, but the apps...
The AC was not working when I took delivery of our 4 in late October. When i mentioned this, the adviser explained that the AC won't feel as cold in an EV (seriously). I was a bit stressed at the time (and hot), so opted to take the car.
I scheduled a service appointment for it to be...
Our 4S also does not have the lighting by the door handle. And, we too, struggle to locate the handle at night. If it's supposed to be there, I'll happily take it back to the dealer for repair. We just thought it was a "feature".
My numbers are similar to @Diego. Our numbers are ~ 10% lower than his as half of our miles were on a long roadtrip with our 2 e-bikes on the back driving at 130kph (speed and bike rack don't make for great range!). Since we've returned from the trip, we're back to @Diego numbers: (20 kWh /...
Yesterday, after we'd been on the road for about 45 minutes in ACC, we were presented with a message in Tube C indicating "assistive systems were not operational". The cockpit showed 3 errors that were new to me: 1) cruise control was not operational, 2) the system that monitors if the driver...
I’ve seen them both, once. They’ve never returned. I’ve seen other messages too that have never come back.
Another member taught me about the “5 minute cycle”. If you see a message, turn off the car and walk away (with your key) for 5 minutes. Upon return, if it’s just a glitch, the message...
I’ve had it work several times. The pattern I’ve noticed is that it doesn’t like dark parking lots. For example, our CostCo has a very dark garage and I can never get it to acknowledge any space, ever. However, our Electrify America station has 20 back-in spaces. It’s very well lit. The parking...
It basically sticks to the window and didn't move during 4 hours of driving. When you open the door / window, it slides off. It doesn't come off until you do either of these actions. It leaves no marks on the window so I think it's just static holding it on. It's worked perfectly for us.
They asked nicely and it wasn't an extremely picturesque location for photos - picture dense fog, a decaying Taco Bell, and the odoriferous breeze from a nearby feedlot:). OK, the stink doesn't really figure, but it didn't hurt to be a nice guy; we'll all get to see the real thing soon enough.
We were doing a north - south ride and were really feeling the lack of an extendable sun visor in the afternoon. I found this and it works. Actually better than an extendable visor. I tuck it behind the seat when not in use (99% of the time).

I snapped this as I knew I wouldn’t be believed?. It honestly peaked out 4 KW higher but I don’t have proof besides my good name. Most have been single cord.
The quikrstuff rack is awesome. We needed a rack that was easy to mount and remove without destroying our backs because we can’t close our garage with a rack on the car. It’s perfect as each rack is an independent piece weighing < 25 pounds. I can mount it in 45 seconds with no tools.
