Just jumping in regarding the broken AA HUD integration....does anyone know anything as to whether Porsche is working on it? I submitted the problem a couple of weeks ago, but haven't heard anything back.

apparently from what I read. The issue is not from porsche but is from an update from google so i guess Porsche should report it to google but lets be honest there is not enough porsche car on the road for them to take that problem really seriously and urge to fix it

It’s because of legislation in Germany prohibits the use of apps that tell of speed cameras etc.

There is no reason for the US version to follow German laws. After all, Waze already tells you (as does regular Google Maps -- but the built-in nav does not.)

If only the native navigation had the crowdsourced police locations like Waze does. I like that feature too much.

AA is starting to provide that information, and certain implementations allow you to send reports similar to how Waze does it. But Waze does seem to have a larger user base and more current info on road issues like police locations. If I'm driving with my wife, I'll have the PCM and she will have Waze running on her phone. Best of both worlds.

I run Waze on Apple CarPlay in the background and use the Porsche app for navigation. I get audible alerts from Waze and, if necessary, just toggle over to CarPlay to look at the Waze map.

I know, but I’m pretty sure all German cars like Audi, Mercedes etc don’t have these types included even for non German markets. I’ve owned both and neither have them in the integrated sat nav’s.

On longer journeys the built-in nav is the only one I use. Nobody even comes close to Porsche's charge planner.

Btw, if you want to see it and Waze at the same time, just bring up the built-in NAV on the main dashboard/speedometer and open Waze (without starting a journey in it) on the center console. Waze will still warn you of cops/cams even if there is no active route in it. It's smart enough to notice you are driving and in which direction.

I use the PCM navigation exclusively and it is usually reliable. It did flip out the other day when it wanted me to take a long way home and I kept driving using a different route. It never changed to the new route, as it usually does, but actually told me to make a U-turn out of the cul-de-sac I live on. It was funny to see my vehicle at the destination but the nav still showing the original route. I was in my driveway and the nav was telling to follow a forty mile route to get there. I will see what happens the next time I use it.

Right now I couldn't use the Porsche nav even if I wanted to. Location services is all messed up. It thinks the car is 2 miles from where is actually is, and all driver assistance systems won't work.
