Not a political post. I have a Macan Turbo on order, with a May build, July delivery locked and now this. I lucked out on my Panamera GTS, as I picked it up end of December, if it had come in any later I would have had a 3% price hike on it. What are the odds of having to deal with paying more? I will just walk away if it goes any higher, already paying a lot with a 5% discount.

I am in the same situation with July delivery (no guarantee it will be made at all), but given the latest precedent, corporate absorbed it for any signed orders that cost a few hundred million dollars. There is no way to tell what will happen now. According to my dealer GM, the tariff applies to about 50% of the car retail price but still the additional cost per car delivered at $125k is significant.

My point is that there is no precedent that the customer will pay more for a signed Purchase Order even if the build is not locked yet, like mine. However, I will be sure to let everyone know if the dealer calls me to redo the order for higher than agreed signed deal.

The standard Porsche conditions in the UK (may very well not be in US contracts) state the cost of the car can increase for say changes in law, but then the buyer can decline and receive their deposit back.

Deposit refunds depend on the state, some have laws that require them to return deposits, others do not. Thankfully my dealer doesn't charge me deposits on my orders, so I would just be walking away (unless a larger discount can be negotiated). Porsche NA has been eating the larger portion of the tariffs so far, but have been ratcheting up the portion the customer pays in about 3% increments since they were first imposed. The problem is that there is never any indication on when, where or how a tariff will be imposed and/or when they will be removed so it is extremely hard to know if this will even be an issue once my vehicle actually hits the US port.

My UK dealer said the Cayenne would increase in price August, so will be higher for 2027 model cars. May be wrong as after all he is a salesman.
