CarPlay not working anymore

One morning my Apple CarPlay stopped working. There was no update to the PCM or the phone. Tried everything like reseting the PCM, changing hotspot password, repairing the device - nothing. Left it for a week hoping it will go away on its own like most of issues with this half baked car but no luck so far.

Any ideas on how to fix this other then going to the dealer?

Try forgetting the vehicle in the WiFi settings of your phone, then pair it again. If it doesn’t work, try a hard reset of your iPhone (quickly pressing volume up then volume down and then holding the side button until the screen turns black).

reboot the phone reboot the PCM - 99% of the time one of these two actions resolves the issue…

I had this immediately following the recent IOS 26.4 update. I didn’t have patience for troubleshooting and just deleted / recreated the saved CarPlay connection on both phone and car. Flawless since.

same issue coincident with iOS 26.4 - hard reset was the ultimate solution.

Anyone also having issues deleting previously paired phones? They sit there greyed out and can't be deleted.
