Apple update to iOS 8.6 and CarPlay

Thank you for reading, I know I should have waited; however, I updated to iOS 8.6 on Wednesday, and now I cannot get CarPlay to connect.

I tried removing the phone from my car and the Macan from the CarPlay setting, and reinstalled the Bluetooth connection and set up CarPlay. Still nothing.

Is anyone else having issues, or is it on my side only? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you try restarting the phone (turn it off and back on again) ?

I updated to IOS 18.6 a few days ago and I haven’t had any problem with CarPlay.
On your iPhone, try forgetting the car both on WiFi and Bluetooth (select the encircled i) and pair the phone to the car again.
If that doesn’t work, do an iPhone hard reset (volume up, volume down, side button) and try forgetting and pairing again. If not sure how to do an iPhone hard reset, google it as there is plenty info/videos about it. Good luck!

I also have no problems after I updated to iOS 18.6.

If the above suggestions don’t work I would try restarting the PCM by holding down the volume dial by the climate controls.

Had the same issue. For some reason, deleting the phone and adding it back worked for me. Now it actually comes up faster and seems to connect better.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I did get airplay back by removing the phone from the Macan as well as removing the car from the phone. I then added the phone back to the car and reset up CarPlay and everything is back. Thank you again.
