4s vs GTS -what to order??

In term of performance, I doubt that without a chronometer, you can tell the difference. So the difference is more related to the options : racetex ...
That’s like saying there’s no noticeable performance difference between the 4 and the 4s - not sure I get what your saying sorry

Also there’s more going besides racetex options - which not many will buy given it comes at a quite a cost.

The difference in term of performance between the 4 and the 4S are bigger than the difference between a GTS and a 4 s / O / 62 mph : 5,1 the 4, 4,1 the 4S and 3,8 for the GTS for example. 20% is a huge difference, less than 10 % is not

By comparison not sure someone who bought a Taycan GTS over a Taycan 4s would agree that extra power is not noticeable. Or probably any other Porsche that sits above another.

Yeh without stating the obvious here - the overall design premise of this car is a noticeably more sportier performance - nobody has driven it yet but we’ll find out soon enough

If differences in performance actually matters a lot to you, you should stretch for the Turbo.
If you're OK with something that's not the peak performance to save some dollars, might as well save with the 4S.
The base has some missing features that I'd understand if you want, though (four wheel steering and smart air suspension, I think?)

I had the pleasure to drive various loaners for months.

Macan 4s vs Taycan 4s - no significant difference except kick start. Even my little daughter noted but thTaycan is dual gear and you feel that kick from first to second. Taycan 4s closest to GTS in terms of HP.

Macan 4 vs Macan 4s. 4s feels much quicker from 0-20 mph, after that no significant difference.

In summary, 4s feels much sportier but that’s subjective. There is no objective reason to go for more horsepower as base has plenty enough. But then, there is no objective reason to buy Porsche in the first place. Buy what you like. RWS probably has bigger impact daily driving than extra horsepower.

Sorry your logic doesnt make any sense, the question Ive asked here is 4s or GTS - you are basically saying that the GTS has no place in the line up. Also power in a straight line is not the be all and end all of performance- the GTS might outperform the turbo on other driving dynamics & handling - Porsche are saying is sportier thsn the Turbo.

Again I have zero interest in the turbo

There is a far bigger gap between the base 4 and 4S than the 4S and GTS - the 4 drives and feels far slower than the 4S.

That makes it clear ! I read a road test in a French Car mag a couple of weeks ago. Trying to locate it.

I agree HP isnt everything, so lots of assumptions being made about the differences in the 2 cars im interested in. Not the 4 or the Turbo
