I think if you chose black as the overall colour then everything would look more homogeneous
Totally agree, and as I would’ve specced jet black and opted for painted spyders, it would’ve made more sense for me to get the GTS instead of the Turbo

I was ready to place a 4S order when the GTS was announced, which has all the things I wanted on the 4S (for me, I also really wanted RWS to overcome, as much as possible, the large turning circle/school run/UK car park manoeuvring). I optioned out of Racetex, almost entirely due to having a three year old, and a wife who likes moisturiser (a Racetex/Alcantara killer) and ventilated seats, but I did option back in the Racetex steering wheel (only option was to add the one with carbon inlay, but I really love the Racetex wheel).

I also have a Spyder RS and the GTS a good one-car option if I ever want to move that on and live with one sporty daily (I'd prefer to keep the RS but having a young daughter means I never-ever get to drive it!). I prefer the looks (front and back), but that's possibly just because it might more unique compared to most other Macan EV's on the road.

I'd have likely preferred smaller wheels, but like others have mentioned, really dislike most of them (liked the off-road, but not an option), especially the standard anthracite 21's. 22 Spyders a cheaper option than on non GTS spec, especially considering they're already painted. Having driven a couple of Macans with 20, 21, 22, I didn't really notice enough difference (all on air), range aside of course. I think the 22 Spyders really make a difference to the look of the car.

I also liked the new colours, that along with the exterior sport package are now also options on the rest of the range (but weren't when I ordered).

For me, the main deciders ultimately were that the price difference when optioned equally was less than 2k, a little more sportiness (+exclusivity) with the GTS, and the fact that there was an allocation available right away for the GTS for Feb/March delivery (and they had no visibility on S slots/availability).

I don't think you'll go wrong either way.
The UK configurator has the MY26 RWD and 4S showing now, so I’m assuming allocations must have opened.

They’ve also added the Luxe Package on the RWD and 4. I haven’t broken down the cost of the individual options yet, so not sure whether it actually represents good value or if it’s just a convenience bundle.

Everything said in this thread, only buy GTS if you want 22inch Spyder and exterior Sport Design package. Naked GTS doesn't look to good IMHO.
Yeh thats a fair observation- the sports design package is £467 rather than £3k - so thats a saving if you’re into more black gloss and darker features (which seems to be the GTS theme)

Just frustrating that those aero wheels cover alot of the red callipers otherwise i would of probably went for it

Yeh the MY26 for RWD/4 was updated on the uk config about a week or so ago, I noticed that they added the lux package more recently - it saves you £654 if you were optioning everything on that list. The only thing i wasnt was matrix headlights so getting them at added for £240 would be worth it.

Shame the pack isnt available on the 4s - sneaky buggers at Porsche!

Really good input thank you.

Rear Axle Steering isnt standard on any models, do you mean power steering?

Yeh agree a small mucky dog & kids munching in the back, the Race-tex is a definite no.

This will be my first Porsche and Im really glad they introduced brighter colour options with the red or blue - i find the others a little bland but I get they are more classy. The lugano blue seems like the best IMO and will be not as common. I seen it on a 911 mind you but it really pops!

Yeh the 22 spyders look nice but budget is already pushed as it is and yeh range will be impacted - im already a tad concerned about range but admittedly trying to have my cake & eat it with this car.

Black gloss anywhere low down in a car shows scratches & stone chips quite considerably but yes the GTS will be quite unique (at least for a while). im thinking about getting ppf on the interior console to help keep that looking nice.

My delivery target is June - so im told that any model I order wont be an issue.
Yes, sorry, Rear Axle Steering is a cost option on any spec (4 wheel drive only), inc GTS, so made no difference in the end... I got confused with PTV plus (which I wasn't remotely precious about).

Yeh the options creates a constant circle of decisions - id love a hud (which comes on most cars these days) and maybe RAS but thats just short of extra £3000.

Just curious i see you went for lugano blue, great choice, did you take the free part glacier headlight & glacier tail strip? I thought no as it might clash with the blue and not be in touch with the whole blacked out look

I thought about it, but not for very long tbh - like you suggest, I decided it was too much blue in the end (and somewhat clashing with Lugano), as well as going against the GTS look.

After seeing the Carmine Red in the autogefuhl video, I did think hmmm that would've been an equally sharp/'new' colour too!

Yep i had exactly the same thoughts when seeing that video, its the only video I have found (other than the promotional one) im surprised that more motor journalists haven’t got access or a test drive yet of the GTS when its landing ahead of the Cayenne.

What interior did you go for?

I have gloss black Sports Design (full) on my 911 (992.2) - stone chips aren't a thing at this point so I'd move this down the concern list. I tend not to drive close to vehicles in front. PPF is an option but as you're leasing why fuss?

Carmine Red looks good in the sunshine (not often in UK!) but doesn't pop as it appears in photos. Guards Red would be a preference but only PTS now 😒.

Carmine has been around on other models for some years now. Suggest looking at any Porsche in this colour before deciding - plenty ICE GTSs to get a good idea in daylight.

Yeh noted - its a 3 year lease but i like to keep my cars perfect! Lol

Ive seen pics of a Guards red macan ev and looks amazing. I actually considered PTS until they introduced these 2 new colours.

PTV+ before RAS (both preferably). The 5 degree turn is barely noticeable but does reduce turning circle by a metre.

I've optioned RAS twice now (first time I was convinced it wasn't installed such is the non-obvious nature of it.

PTV+ in my experience is a better option to have and useful in various scenarios including winter driving.

Im torn between ordering a 4s or the new GTS. Much of the options I want on the 4s is standard on the GTS - Air Susp, Bose, PTV, Chrono, Leather 18 way seats. Meaning that the GTS monthly (via lease) is coming in about £80 more per month vs the 4s.
However 508 bhp in the 4s is plenty for me and kiddies in the back, i expect the range on the GTS will be noticeably less and Porsche quote a 476 litre boot versus the 540 litres for the others (albeit the sound system removes some of that) Also the standard GTS 21 design wheels are not to my taste and I love the 21 offroad wheels - which are not available on the GTS. Im not adding an extra for better looking 22s that will push up the price and impact range. Although admittedly I haven’t seen these new GTS wheels in the metal.

Overall my aim in getting a macan ev was to combine sporty driving with practically but im struggling to make a decision on this and need to order asap.

As its just been released there no test drive content online, only a walkaround by Autogefuehl so unsure about the drive or feel versus other models.

Any help & advice would be appreciated
Thanks
I have had this dilemma with 911 and Taycan - ultimately the difference in performance is marginal - I really dislike faux suede RaceTex everywhere and am very happy with my 4S with Bose, Roof 21s better seats leather parking off road pack etc. GTS seems unnecessary hence with 911 I jumped straight from 4S to Turbo S 😁
