Q6 etron is the sibling of the Macan EV and would be a more accurate comparison. Q8 production has ceased and factory to close due to poor sales. Soft close eventually came to the Taycan at refresh time and so will likely make an appearance at some point.

So this issue and many others were issues on the Taycan- check that forum. Disappointing that these carry over from model to model. Dealership competence is a potential concern also. In the early days of the Taycan it was lack lustre at best.

Limited to EA in NA and Ionity in Europe as far as I'm aware although other providers are looking to aggregate those operators support P&C certificate exchanges. Always quicker to initiate a charging session with either your RFID card or RFID key fob. P&C is slow to react in my experience.

This is a relearning sequence you can go through if the window(s) aren't closing to the correct stop position (same on Taycan and any frameless door).

Taycan owners will remember this period well - disgraceful that this legacy has found its way into a new model. Many of the Macan EV issues surfacing are analogous to the early days of the Taycan J1.1 (and I hear J1.2 is better but not perfect).

Nope as the target charge is reached within the time windows and generally long before the departure time. A second charging session with direct charge enabled and preheat set would likely work with a little experimentation.

This is by design and same for Taycan since 2020. It is annoying.
