I had a chat with a close friend of mine who’s a software engineer at a publicly listed company that also works with batteries and related hardware — similar to what we’re dealing with here.
According to him, if the issue were purely software-related, Porsche should technically be able to make...
No, he specifically said immobilizer. I just re-read our conversation :) Anyhow, just trying to help. Hope you get a solution to your issue, either way.
I'm going to tag in @CHP which has some information regarding this for the UK market, and issues with his car that is connected to that (according to the dealer).
I’m not really familiar with the distances between Porsche Centers in the U.S. — I imagine it’s quite different from how it is here in the EU.
That said, I just wanted to share my experience since I’ve had some pretty serious issues with my car, including it shutting down by itself while...
Call your dealer and take it for a check up, don't wait for it to happen again. If it's a bug, it's a bug. You are under warranty and this shouldn't happen, especially if it is something connected to the high voltage battery. Keep in mind that you have warranty and it doesn't cost you a dime...
Do yourself a favor and call the dealership. It might be a specific recall or update they are waiting for, might as well talk to them today to get your mind off it.
A tip for someone among many people on this forum that has had to deal with many different Porsche dealers from across the globe...
Nothing yet more than stated before, sadly.
They "said" that it might be week 44, but that is subject to change according to my dealer. Also heard they need to test out the software on MY26 cars anyway, and they won't be delivered until the middle of november to begin with.
I had the same issue for a few weeks and it just wouldn’t go away. I called the dealership and they basically brushed it off, saying it was “nothing special,” and made me wait two weeks.
After that, I called again and mentioned that my trunk button wasn’t working, and reminded them about the...
I’ve had my car (Macan 4) in the shop for 9 months in total, about maybe 5-6 service visits all together. In this time I’ve been given loaners, almost exclusively different Macan 4s. I have never, ever heard any crackling sound in the suspension and neither in my own car that i drove for a few...
All of the individuals who have experienced issues with their cars, myself included, are the ones I am referring to. My car has not spent 9 out of 13 months in the shop because I “enjoy visiting the dealer.” Everything I’ve stated comes directly from my dealer and Porsche AG. In addition...
Just because your car is working properly doesn’t mean the software is flawless. If you look at Porsche’s different releases, it has been a disaster software-wise — both with the early Taycans and now the Macan EVs. We’ve had reports from Porsche headquarters and dealers worldwide discussing...
HAHA! This had me laugh. You're being serious? I've had issues for 8 months and they are now saying the same thing but for the Macan?(!)
(i've got a loaner until a so called "big update" is coming within 1 month to 6 months") that will "fix" the issue. This is so stupid.

Increased comfort, even more possibilities for personalisation, and a new digital operating concept with the largest display surface ever featured in a...
Yeah, agreed on that. The problem is, when you pay for these options you kind of expect them to actually work properly. But anyone on here knows that’s not really the case with Porsches software. Adding more tech doesn’t fix the fact that they just can’t get the software right. Honestly, they...
Don't assume that it is something normal, like other people on the forum did. These are real issues on the car and if they keep coming back I recommend you contacting the dealer. This isn't acceptable more than once.
This is only based on my feeling, but the 14-way seat is much less comfortable in the Macan than in the Cayenne. 18-way is the way to go in the Macan with full leather for more seating comfort. Might be different with full leather in the 14-way seat, haven't tried.
EDIT: Keep in mind that you...
