Yup, just checked my own car agreement and you're right. Then my whole argument isn't valid, haha. Who am I to think that Porsche would include something without a premium..
Also another data point, in Canada comfort access is included in all variants. Apple car key is extra $310 CAD. Bottom line is … Porsche is charging for it I think.
I would pay for it if given option to on my MY2025

On the UK configurator, they now have the option of a 3D surround view for MY26, does anyone know the difference between that and the original surround view?

you know this how exactly? i am so happy with my turbo that i just bought a second one, a 4s this time. i looked for a demo in germany & austria. i ended up paying nearly full price for one i liked with 6.000 km. its the bonus for getting one without waiting. look for your self and show me one that is significantly cheaper than new order. it is unfounded to talk about „tanking value“ and in the end it hurts all of us which own a macan.
Check the UK dealerships - ÂŁ15K mark down on a near 1 year old low mileage good spec car (then deduct another ÂŁ8K to ÂŁ10K for what the dealer would have offered the original owner on a trade).

Awash with Macan base models (100+ listed) - pointless version IMHO - and will inevitably hit 2nd hand pricing.

Every market is different but I'm pretty tuned into the UK one and have been for decades when it comes to Porsches.

Turbo availability is deliberately throttled (my dealer gets around 4 a quarter) compared to the other variants with the 4S being more plentiful.

You get 4 virtual cameras in addition to the 4 physical ones.

Rarely use the added features (3D rotate) on my 992 and would hesitate to pay extra beyond 360 view. Additional kerb side parking sensors are however useful.

Worth the additional ÂŁ1200 for the kerb assistance?

The reverse features and cross traffic largely useless for me.

Also painful that a X3M that I purchased in 2019 had this tech as standard and had gesture controls to rotate, so for it to be drip fed some 6 years later and charged more than the entire tech pack was provided by BMW is irritating.

and what do you think is the median markdown for any luxury car including ice after one year ? do you really want to say it is less than the 10% of your little „market research“ on the macan?

The latest incarnation of the 3D option on the Macan EV (and Taycan) adds more sophisticated features than what you describe - the ability to train the car to park (e.g. garages) and not just remote park in simple use cases.

For my money the enhanced features aren't worth it and undoubtedly problematic in use.

Surround view / 360 option will have the kerb support given the attended parking assist.

Suggest to view both options but I don't see a need to go 3D and certainly not at that price.

Yeah, agreed on that. The problem is, when you pay for these options you kind of expect them to actually work properly. But anyone on here knows that’s not really the case with Porsches software. Adding more tech doesn’t fix the fact that they just can’t get the software right. Honestly, they should stick to what they do best instead of using us as beta testers.

Just because your car is working properly doesn’t mean the software is flawless. If you look at Porsche’s different releases, it has been a disaster software-wise — both with the early Taycans and now the Macan EVs. We’ve had reports from Porsche headquarters and dealers worldwide discussing issues with the Macan EV, which Porsche AG themselves have acknowledged are software-related. That’s why they’re testing updated software for the MY26, aimed at fixing many of the problems seen in MY24–25.


In short, there’s a reason why VAG acquired Rivian.

MY 26 out in Germany and UK. So far only 4 and turbo. Macan and 4s still Model year 25. Yes, both came out later, but really?

New package 3D Surround View with Active Parking Support, Trained Parking and Reversing Assist at nearby 2300 GBP but does include Comfort Access including Porsche Digital Key. If you option Comfort Access including Porsche Digital Key, 3D Surround View get removed but you can choose surround view. There is a 400 GBP price difference so don't think we get update for 3D, at least not for free.

If I would option 3D package, 4 only 500GBP cheaper as compared to similar spect 4S with only surround view and no comfort access.
