I would like to share headlights specs, as some @Fleming23 mentioned the brightness and absence of dynamic cornering feature. Ideally, we need to measure the brightness, and I would be up to it if someone can recommend what can be used to do so as I have MY24 Macan GTS if someone else can...
I totally disagree. There is nothing in common between ICE Macan seats and Macan EV seats, you can even see it in pictures. Macan EV seats I tested for a day drive each 14-way and 18-way were absolutely flat, too soft, and not laterally supportive. Macan ICE 18-way feel like you are in a sports...
Based on your needs of frequent runs and getting in and out rules out the Taycan.
Active Ride's lift feature will not be much help since the issue is the forward positioned B-pillar.
Also, if you like physical buttons and physical vent adjustments then this is not offered on the Taycan. However...
Solid build with all the right things in it. 14-way seats are way too flat, so for off roading, I would stay with 18-ways. I would spend on Sports Chrono as you never know when you need some extra power of Sports+ to outrun a bear.
@Vosmans, assume you are new to Porsche, please build it out and share a build code, that would be easier to provide feedback, as you did not even say what is your choice of Black for the car itself Black or Jet Black. First tip is to understand Standard Equipment section that explains what is...
Macan EV battery chemistry is different. Also, battery management appears to be very different given the observation that the Macan EV battery temp stays constantly cold (50F) vs. Taycan 1st gen having no issue warming up as you drive or charge on AC. However, what matters is that how much range...
The OP is asking for a step by step.
There are 2 ways to do it, as others are suggesting.
Observe battery temp going up if preconditioning of the battery is working. You need to be in the optimal conditions below to get the fastest charging possible when you get to the charger.
1: Set...
Seat belts are part of the Seats to me, so that is my rationale to match belts to the seats.
Turbonite belts look odd against any other colors in the interior, including black pillars. You understand that they glow metallic bronze and orange/gold, ouch! Turbonite is hard to assess what it...
There are cars. This is a thing on Honda and Acura cars. 2008 Acura TSX came with dedicated heated mirror button. Porsche does not have a dedicated button as it is tied to the Rear Defroster button as @Go4it mentioned, and always has been that way.
Acura Heated Mirror button.
The only other thing I noticed is that the seatbelts are in Turbonite, that looks off (to me). I think matching them to Limestone Beige would look better. I have 3 cars and always match seatbelts to the lightest color of the interior, personal preference. I do not want to hear the argument that...
Headlights would look fine since the blue accent surrounds are not lit up and look very subtle and only visible at a good angle.
However, the rear logo is right in your face at any angle, if flashing the brand is your thing.
The letters are not lit up but look so bright.
Only 2 weeks to check everything but the Passenger Display
This is just loaded and well-designed on the color front. I give up, cannot pick on anything.
May be one, spoke too soon, Porsche Design Clock, you are aware that it is not readable at night. Sports Chrono Clock is nicely lit up...
Most likely the car turned itself off after 30 minutes. This is expected operation if you are in Park and in Operational Readiness state (electronics only on mode) powered by the 12V battery. Macan EV manual is not specific after how many minutes it will turn off the car, but 30 min is the time...
Not Standard Equipment on a Turbo in the US. Why buy a Turbo and save on the Sports Chrono?
I get it that you will never use it part, but what if a situation presents when you need to go as fast as you can.
I agree, it is confusing, but these are 2 separate things if you dig into it.
Porsche logo in Black is standard on a Turbo, which is just the text, but no other modification to the light bar itself.
However, what you are paying Exclusive Mfg department $890 for is the Circuit board graphics...
You may be confusing two different functions:
One is just your usual Coming Home function that is standard (translation is not great):
The other function is animation of the light bar that is only available if you upgrade to Black or Glacier, that is in addition to the above lights on for...
The usual method is to get an OBD reader and phone App to get this type of data. However, my understanding is that there is no App that currently supports Macan EV to get SoH read out. I am curious to learn how much SoH Macan EVs lose in the first 10k miles compare to Taycans (J1.1 first gen)...
