I too thought it was a swipe like the frunk! The manual says "Lay your hand flat on the rear third of the charging port door." and that feels more reliable, but I've not used this after it's closed to see how fast it opens again.

To add some detail that is hard to get out of the original graph, my spoiler goes up at 94kmh in Sport Plus. And using the pop-up mode of the sunroof does not cause the spoiler deployment.
