Indeed, this was a surprise to us all! 'Stopped' in their system is that the parts are not available. The configurator doesn't show the real time availability of these items, so it's not until you actually go to the Porsche internal ordering system do you get the notification.
I just stopped by my dealer to finalize our 4S order before it locks this month. Here's what we ended up with

Some changes from the original plan.
The 'interior trim' in wood really didn't do it for us, so we switched to aluminum...
Lots of important detail lost here by the robot summary. This involved a 2012 Nissan Leaf in Phoenix, Arizona. Possibly the worst possible case for thermal management. I don't think anyone else sells a car today without active thermal management of the battery, for exactly this reason.
The manual has a few words about fuses being scary and to bring it to a service center to get things fixed. Not useful at all for this case.
According to the manual, the negative battery jump location is in the frunk, under the plastic grill thing to the right, outside the storage area -...
I had my first drive today - Bellevue had 2 for testing today. Very busy on a Sunday and lots of turnover to the next testers. So much so that we never actually opened the trunk! It did help us decide some changes to our 4S order before it locks. Well worth a test drive.
Is that for sale or test drive? My sales guy has not yet called me in for a drive before locking my build in early October. I may drop by this weekend if I can see one
There is a video of Tesla Bjorn charging the Audi Q6 (same PPE platform) side by side with others. Posted on this site, but a YouTube search will find it too.
The 10-80 time looks fast as advertised, but it does slow down a lot after 80, as do all EV platforms.
No advertising would ever...
I hear a stampede heading past Whole Foods in Bellevue!
My ambassador seems to always need a little encouragement to invite us to do stuff, so I dropped them a note to see when we can come in before locking our 4S build.
It was the super-secret section right between the iPad Mini and AppleTV updates. Yup, that's right, I'm sure I saw it there.
Also, don't sign up for my stock-picking newsletter!
Actually I was surprised that the new CarPlay wasn't mentioned at all, I guess it was all about AI and the cameras...
I'm still convinced this delay - worldwide, from July to Sept 20 - is tied directly to the availability of the new iOS version and CarPlay. New iPhones announcing on Sept 10, with availability of iOS 18 and the hardware on Sept 20. The 'software update' is to get this tested and integrated to...
4S with lots of tech options, scheduled for early January delivery in the Seattle area. We have some time before locking the config to make changes once demos are available and we can see and touch these things.
Configuration
It's recently appeared in the Standard Equipment list in the summary for my 4S - it's the popup - and this item is the last one under Assistance Systems
Tesla Bjorn has posted a video of the charging performance of the PPE based Audi Q6 against several similar cars. This is the first time I've seen a PPE car's charging process in such detail. There's also a section with the Q6 charging on a 400v charger, to see how that works. There's also a...
Previous photos of this socket for the European market show this as 150w max at 230v. I can’t imagine the US market getting 1000+w at 120v for this item
No hotplates, no margarita blenders, much sadness
The electric plug option is cool to see with the labels for max power. Sadly, this isn't enough to run my blender for margaritas when camping, so I'll have to plan around that.
