I have the 4S with the Macan S 20" wheels. I didn't realize quite how much of the brake calipers are hidden by this, but I still would have paid for the black calipers to match our blue/black color scheme. A flash of red would not have worked as well.
I recently paid for this treatment on a...
I just saw my second in the USA in Olympia, WA as we pulled off the 101. There's not a lot around still - my area is turning into the land of Rivian at the moment.
On a short road trip. The new Rivian charger in Astoria Oregon is open, which is good, as the nearby EA station just closed on Monday for an upgrade to the latest hardware! Not a lot of other high-kw charging around this area otherwise.
I did get a charge-port error reported after charging...
I think thereās a missing 3rd option for charging at ādaily destinationsā - supermarket/costco/restaurants etc - where I donāt need 350, but 7kw isnāt useful. Here I think 25-50kw chargers will allow your regular stops to provide significant charge during your 1-2 hour visit. You can install...
It feels like engine braking.
I recently rented a Macan S with an engine and PDK. In Sport mode, the gearbox stays in a lower gear that provides more engine braking, and that feels kind of similar to having the recuperation enabled to me - more drag on throttle lift.
Managed to remember to take some photos today. I have the Macan S 20" wheels, and I also optioned the brake calipers in black to complete the blue/black look. I didn't know at the time that these wheels cover up a lot of that option! Maybe I'll buy myself some larger wheels later.
I also...
I think I saw that the recent software update documentation included a fix for this brake problem, so getting the dealer involved has a chance of solving this for you.
I was wondering why I never saw it when out and about, and I went to the car in the garage with the intent of finding the PCM setting to enable it. But of course, it works in my dark garage!
Adding the light sensor check seems needlessly complex for this feature.
I've tried to get in the habit of applying HOLD mode when parking to make sure I don't have this problem. Since this is a new car to me, I am still having to think about the use of these controls when exiting the car, so I've also been deliberate about checking the Park mode too, and have yet...
Am I the only one that finds this dial on the left tube entirely unusable?
1. The graphics are all too small - see the triangle above, but also B and C above are tiny.
2. The steering wheel is in the way of half the dial
3. And it's in the way of the left side of the dial - the most useful part...
Also yesterday. Macan 4S on 20", temperatures about 60-70F.
I started out with 95% charge and guesstimated range of 313 miles. After 155 miles, I still had 45% remaining indicated.
3.2 is about 19.4kwh/100km
This is the one that lists the Rear Wheel Drive, the Macan 4 and Turbo as the only models, with the Turbo being new to the lineup.
How do these professional car journalists get these details messed up.
There's a recent Canadian video review (that I just posted) that's otherwise pretty good...
Until very recently, I'd seen none. However, I did spot a Frozen Blue in a trip to Bath, UK 2 weeks ago - same color as mine, but with the standard 20" wheels.
Just last night a Papaya Macan drove past my house in the Seattle area.
So now I've seen 2 that I've noticed.
I looked this up, as it's a new one on me. Apparently, it's a tiny whisk that is used in champagne glasses to allow the drinker to remove the bubbles.
It seems this was big in the 1920s. Those people were weird.
I'm with Steve - mine now works, but I don't know which of the things I did actually helped.
I did try the Privacy Settings today, but that didn't help until I restarted the Charging app, so it might already have been unlocked before that setting change. My feeling is that it probably was...
I installed the Suncoast Porsche protection film on the A/C controls today. The instructions and stickers provided to help line up the film worked perfectly, and I'm a bit of a klutz doing things like this. I'll do the rear A/C panel tomorrow.
The PCM screens I'm not sure I need as much...
Until Plug and Charge is enabled, I'm not calling it fully delivered!
I do want to get some good pictures of the Macan S 20" wheels. These are much better looking than any of the online photos I've seen so far.
