Actually, it is. Well discussed on this forum and documented in Porsche literature. You can “turn on” regen (i.e., non coasting), but the car will still use the hydraulic brakes more than normal for an initial break in period. Lots of debate over how long this period is, but general agreement...
I like Diego's idea, especially if you place the hole in alignment with the gap formed by the front-most cup holder. It would be very natural to grab the tray that way.
For my part, I'd encourage keeping the interior dividers on the minimal side—just low enough to prevent things from sliding...
I'll grant that it may not always be accurate, but I'd argue that it is as authoritative as it gets. If Porsche cannot be considered the authority on info about Porsche vehicles, who can?
That said, I get your point. As noted, there is still room for debate on many issues. It would be lovely if...
Hello fellow forum members.
I think I speak for all of us when I say that this forum is a truly valuable resource as we either contemplate the configuration/purchase of a Macan EV or get answers to questions about the purchases we've made. That said, this value can be hard to fully realize when...
I'll cite the following article in support of my take on this...
Porsche Newsroom article on Powerful latest-generation PSM motors
Here's the relevant quote:
If you think about it, what would be the reason to place wear and tear (excess heat) on the hard-to-repair/replace motors when you can...
Another factor is your state of charge. Regen can only occur if the battery can accept the juice. If you are at a high state of charge, the battery cannot accept the energy and hitting the brake pedal will use the brakes instead.
…OR they tried that (as I did), and it didn’t work. Given that the painted, metal panel attaches to a plastic door assembly, I’m not yet ready to dismiss their explanation. The important thing is that it’s on THEIR to do list to fix.
To the OP… did you by any chance rename the car’s network name? I did that after initially setting up CarPlay (successfully) and now cannot reconnect.
It’s delivery day and I’m at the dealer awaiting a final wash on my 4S. I did an initial inspection and, thanks to this forum helping me know what to look for, noticed that one of the charge port doors (manual, not electric) did not align well with the body. I drew this to the attention of my...
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all. Drive safely and remember… that poor bloke who just cut you off probably isn’t enjoying his ride as much as you are. Let it slide.
Comments on appearance aside, I’m curious… How easily do these go on and off? As noted, they’re functional and best removed when not in use (range and all). My reading on them says this is their biggest advantage—easy installation/removal. Is this the case?
The turbo comes standard with the GT Sport steering wheel—the only model for which that is the case. You can option it for $320 in the US. More if you want carbon or Racetex.
Search this forum. You will find this issue discussed in detail. Off-road package and/or Off-road front spoiler do not alter ride height or suspension settings. The 10mm difference is a physical one; the chin is raised by that amount. This is why you see the references to better approach angles...
My understanding is that the new PCM in the Macan is based on Android Automotive—that's what I was referring to in my post above. I've seen that reference made in several other articles. I don't think Android Automotive requires a vendor to adopt it as the sole stack for the entire vehicle, much...
