I’m a bit confused… are you saying you can only change two of the tiles? If so, I’d suggest you try again. I was able to change and rearrange all three.
The interface can get a little wonky. I removed a couple of tiles by replacing them with others, but they remained greyed out in the picker...
You can edit these tiles when stationary. Just press and hold until a small button with a pencil appears under your finger. Tap that button and you’ll be brought to the editing interface. Drag tiles from menu on the left, click “Apply,” and you’re good to go.
Glad you asked the question. I was...
My experience has been different…
Through CarPlay, Apple Maps is well integrated with the HUD and the other two displays (note: I do NOT have the passenger display). The HUD gets next turn, distance, and lane suggestions. The right most “dial” of the instrument cluster also displays all of...
If you removed all the factually challenged opinions from this forum, it would float away due to lack of mass!
That said, I tried it and it worked. One kick-like motion, just to the right of center did the trick. I thus stand corrected and retract my baseless opinion.
I hope you get it working.
EDITED:
Warning! Incoming baseless opinion alert…
I think the foot trick only works to open the rear hatch. I’ve never seen a reference to that closing it.
(see below for clarification)
Hmmm... Not sure what to tell you. A few things to try...
You may want to make sure you've got Siri enabled for the My Porsche app. Here's how to do that... Open the "Settings" app>scroll to bottom and select "Apps">scroll to and select "My Porsche" app>select "Apple Intelligence & Siri">turn...
Did you create the shortcut?
If so, you can invoke it with Siri by saying "Hey Siri, [insert name of shortcut here]"
If not, you'll need to create the shortcut using the steps I outline above.
I hear you. In my experience, that's not a particular strength of Shortcuts.
That said, I just tried using this same Shortcut from my Mac, and it worked, first time out.
Try executing it again. It can be a little wonky. Doesn’t always work on the first try—it looks like it may timeout on the first run. If I were a better Shortcut programmer, I’d insert some error checking code to see if I can prevent this.
It does work, even if somewhat unreliably. I know this...
As it turns out, you’ll need to use Shortcuts to do this (I’ve corrected my post above to note that Siri support must be done through Shortcuts). If you’re at all familiar with Shortcuts, it’s super easy to make happen. Here’s how…
Open Shortcuts and create a new shortcut
Use the “Search...
I'm glad to see that this thread has spurred some conversation and further articulation of what the My Porsche app can do. In that spirit, let me address the concerns you raise...
Can't speak to this. Time will tell.
Apple Shortcuts is supported and includes the following actions...
Ambient...
None of the above. You just get to turn it on/off. To set the temperature and other parameters (e.g., which seats to heat), you need to go into the app.
UPDATE: Verizon 14.0.2 now available (1/5/25).
- The version history reads: "This release contains minor fixes and improvements."
- Fixes generic vehicle image problem.
ORIGINAL MESSAGE: I just noticed there’s a new version of the My Porsche app available (at least on the Apple App Store). V...
I suggest you read the post I submitted just above yours. It takes more than just having the certificate on your phone (though that is necessary). I struggled until I followed the exact instructions posted by GregM. Pay close attention to the time requirements—they were the only deviation from...
