Electrify America Announces 1-Year Free Charging For Macan EV Owners

The maximum input for all Macan EVs is 270k. Even if the charger wants to throw 350k, the car will only receive 270k. As per the Porsche site…

Macan EV Software Update delaying delivery!

I think some perspective can be gained from looking at companies that are highly experienced at wedding together hardware and software. Even they have startup pains when introducing new products. For example, it is not uncommon for Apple to rev software (at least once, sometimes more)...

Macan 4s Volcano grey : Black interior with bordeaux red elements : help :)

Thanks for the clarification! I've been wondering about this and am happy to have real data (i.e., that gathered by observing delivered product) vs. virtual info (that gained by sleuthing what's in the configurator).

Macan 4s Volcano grey : Black interior with bordeaux red elements : help :)

To be clear, I have the extended leather selected in my configuration and this option is still available, indicating it’s not included.

Macan 4s Volcano grey : Black interior with bordeaux red elements : help :)

I’m pretty sure that’s an additional option, added to the configurator late in the game… This has been CORRECTED (see below)

Macan PCM - Curated Apps For Android Auto

I’m betting this will be country/region dependent. Anybody want to tackle the US?

    Macan Turbo EV real range?

Also, if you’re not aware, there’s a startup period during which there’s no regenerative braking. This is so the mechanical brakes can be properly bedded. It will definitely affect your range.

Porsche Navigation versus CarPlay Navigation: Is there a clear winner?

Filipe, one thing to be aware of is the variability of all of these services based on where you are using them. While Apple Maps may not work well in Portugal, it works very well (including traffic reporting/rerouting, speed/accident alerts, etc.) in the United States. If you're in a place where...

Placed your Macan EV order? Post your configuration! 🙋🏻‍♂️

My understanding (from my SA) is that only the carbon fiber illuminated sills are constrained.

    Surprised by Tow Hitch Cutout

The system in Europe is totally different. Over there, the tow ball automatically folds down. So, you don’t have that gap underneath.

Macan EV Software Update delaying delivery!

Another benefit of being an early adopter… comes with a great fitness plan.

    Rear Wiper or not…

Good point on the distinction between roof RAILS and roof RACK. I've corrected my post above to indicate that I was referring to the rails. Agreed that a rack and attached accessories will most definitely have an impact on range.

    Rear Wiper or not…

Hoping to revitalize this thread and get some feedback from people who have received their Macans and have/have not specced the rear wiper. It's the last item in my build that I'm wavering on and my lock date is upon me (10/6). I've dropped the thermal/acoustic glass out of concerns about...

Post dealerships / locations with Macan EV available for public viewing 🙋🏻‍♂️

Last time I was there, Porsche Burlington (MA) had one Macan 4 in stock. I posted pics of it in the Volcano Grey thread.

Is this a sensor? What is this for?

The sensor you point to is the radar for the active cruise control. Yes, the louvers are active and open or close based on the cooling needs of the electrical system.

    Non-leather interior, anyone?

As far as I remember, it’s been that way since launch. I neglected to copy the entire description, so it’s actually a bit more leather than my original post… Standard Interior in Black Includes in smooth-finish Leather: Seat centers (front and rear) Inner seat bolsters (front and rear)...
