If your an audiophile you must agree that the best place to listen to music is not in a moving car. Therefor I advice Bose and spend your money elsewhere. But that is just my humble opinion.
Call it a blessing or a curse, I love music anywhere, anytime of day.

Whether if it’s at home with expensive audiophile gear or on a long drive home, there are moments to experience music where it hits just right.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s experienced the perfect song ending unintentionally as soon as the car is parked. A good sound system serves to enhance that experience, but not replace it as the first priority (of which IMO belongs to the experience itself)

I have the insulated glass and it is mandatory IMO for a sunny /hot climate where I live. my wife also has a 4 without it; after-market tint helps, but I can feel the heat entering via her front window vs my vehicle.
This makes me happy as both the demo and my car had the insulated glass and without a reference to compare to, I was beginning to doubt my decision.
Sexy options you can see like wheels, paint, leather, etc. are easy to justify, “boring” stuff like insulated glass a bit harder.

@surfcitydermatology if your dealer doesn't have a Macan EV with a Burmester that you can listen to I could meet you somewhere so you can play your favorite tracks in my car.
Might take you up on that if it’s not too inconvenient for you.

Are you located in SoCal?

Amazing build. I would consider exterior sport design package. Neodym with chalk looks amazing. Wonder if contrast stitching in yellow would work for you. Side seat leather not really worth it in my opinion. I had compass on my last Macan, utterly nonsense. Get chrono with chalk or better upgrade to analog. Looks much more luxurious, had it on loaner. You fall short on assistance, HUD with drive assist is amazing. Also surround view is must IMHO.

On an expensive build like this you must be absolutely happy with exterior colour. Otherwise have a look at paint to sample.

In regards to RWD, Macan is a heavy car. If you expect snow or adverse weather conditions, I would reconsider 4WD.

I would consider exterior sport design package, as @CHP said, to get rid of dark plastic parts and get a nice different front facia
After having owned four Porsche cars, Bose is the sweet choice , because there will still be some noise from the 22 wheels , the most important , even with the insulated glass.

No metal mesh. A thin film resides in the glass which is heated.

I would consider the PTV+, which may not be available on base models. The stability improvement is noticeable and satisfying. It also gives you limited slip for nasty weather.

I've been a contemporary and rock music listener for decades and used to modify the heck out of car audio systems. The Macan base audio is very satisfying. If you desire a shake your seat base or ear splitting volume, then opt up. Otherwise there are more satifying options to spend your money on.

You should compare a 4S build and look at the $$ difference.

Unless they have changed things, the heated windshield only operates at max defrost. A separate switch is not provided. They are very expensive to replace. Cell coverage is not affected and I drive in areas with dead spots. I don't think I've ever used mine and would be one thing I'd not buy next time.

I would consider the off road front facia if you are one that can't avoid hitting curbs.

Great Build!!!!

So glad to see leather on the seat rear. one thing rarely talked about is the adaptive sport seats have a huge silhouette and is otherwise a LOT of plastic. It obviously depends on how much the rear seats are used as to how valuable an option it is, I actually downgraded my seats to 14 way on my turbo just to improve rear occupant visibility as my children are small

I would consider sports design package as I prefer the high gloss front apron and lower side trims - if you do go for this I’d consider changing the side blades to high gloss black too - I think it works really well with Provence.

my biggest regret so far is not option drive assist - I have adaptive cruise control and use it 99% of the time

I see no value in the tinted headlights, I’ve not seen them in real life but can’t imagine it makes much difference unless you went for glacier blue (which wouldn’t really work with Provence)

Have you optioned a GTS with your build (a number of options are standard and a lot of options are a cheaper upgrade) to see the price difference?

I also originally optioned a rwd and switched to a turbo at the last minute - reduced range aside - I love knowing that my car is the fastest on the road at any given time, it can get you out of many sticky situations when in the wrong lane

When heating the screen you can adjust the fan speed to avoid the roar and doesn't seem to impede performance - only discovered this recently (!) - useful feature this time of year climate permitting.

Also I’d go for rear privacy glass over rear sunshade - aesthetic more than anything

My Macan EV Turbo is quiet just as is. I bought it as a CPO and just checked last week to confirm it does NIOT have the insulated glass option. While I travel suburban interstates a fair amount, and have been in very large cities about once per week this last year, I have never once felt it was noisy, never felt it needed better glass insulation.

I’d probably opt for it now. Anything that reduces the need for HVAC is getting ticked next time 😅 (but not sure if it can combine with privacy glass)

I also think it’ll help with cabin noise in windy conditions. It’s one of those options that isn’t flashy, but you’d appreciate it on every drive — especially longer or motorway journeys.

In my opinion the insulated glass' primary benefit is the heat rejection if you're in a hot and sunny climate, and you can get similar benefits from an aftermarket tint.

It doesn't make much of a difference with road noise while driving since that largely originates from the tires and is transmitted through the body of the vehicle. It does however help reduce noise (loud music or exhausts) when sitting in traffic.
