I noticed you experience lags in updates or no updates when there is just "bar" of cell service displayed on PCM (not what you see in carplay as that's your phone). I see this a lot lately, it's like the car is having problems connecting to the 4G/5G network do to some reason. This means it 50/50 chance anything you set on the phone (like climate control, departure time etc) get's to your car.

Well, after another couple of days with the app having problems connecting to the car I wrote to Porsche Connect Customer Care. They run a diagnostics and told me there is an fault in Connection Module in the car and it needs to be replaced, they scheduled a visit for this. Also the new software update "due in 3-4 weeks" should affect 5G performance.

So now they are saying 3-4 weeks.. I don’t know who to believe to be honest. It feels like they are throwing dates to be people just to get them off their back.

We just noticed this in ours today. Might have been going on for a while but we just never checked as the car hasn't been driven much lately. But we started a 12-day road trip today. App won't update SOC%.

Hi all

just wanted to report in for those with the issue of not showing charge data or able to precondition
I had this happen after 2 days of ownership and tried and failed with all the easy fix ideas. Having read the above booked in with local OPC to get it sorted. But in reading the screenshot I had a little inspiration
Went to car and opened up settings and went to system and unchecked date and time as automatically set
I got out the car and locked it
Unlock and back in
I rechecked set time automatically (took a number of stabs at key as it kept going back)
Once it had accepted it

EVERYTHING WORKS AGAIN!

Just tried that on ours. No luck. App still isn't updating.

Interestingly, after getting back in and turning AUTO DATE/TIME back on, the time is an hour off (it's showing the time at home, but we're on a road trip now one time zone west). So it doesn't seem to be connecting to get the local time zone either. The PCM does show 4G in the upper-left corner.

There is an update coming that might fix that………………………..or not. We don’t know, Porsche doesn’t either.

Mine took a day to update to correct time. Might be worth leaving the auto date off a while longer or toggle off the auto time zone ??

I tried it again and the time adjusted immediately this time. But still no update of the app SOC% (says last updated 2 days ago). And the car is transmitting, because it's showing the car's location correctly in the app. Odometer reading looks up to date too, as does trip data. It's just SOC that's not updating.

Well I tried it the next day, leaving it off longer, and it worked! Not sure if that actually fixed it or it was a happy coincidence, but either way the app is showing the live SOC% now.

Thanks!

My connection went down a few days ago when I tried (unsuccessfully) to activate the climate control from the app. It failed, the connection dropped, with the app complaining about privacy permissions that are properly set up in the car. I really dislike the idea of having to go back to the service center for what is most likely a server-side issue, so I guess Iā€˜ll plug the car in and see what happens ;-)

That’s brilliant
Have to say I haven’t had a problem since
Guess it just needs to reset on the data

Just an update on something that may be somewhat related to the topic. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that I could not adjust the cabin temperature from remote using the My Porsche app. I could lock and unlock the car and activate the horn or the blinker. Also, the charging data (percentage and range) were not in sync with the car. I did a hard reset on my iPhone, deleted and reinstalled the My Porsche app, and did a reset of the car’s PCM without success. I was about to do a factory reset of the vehicle, but held off hoping that the next update to the My Porsche app will fix it. However, after reading a post in this forum, I turned off the automatic date setting in the car’s PCM and locked the car. This seemed to resolve all these problems. I already turned on the automatic date setting and everything continues to work. I wonder whether the problem started when we switched from DST to standard time?
