I assume the tape is 3M VHB (very high bond). Be very careful and use a template if you try it yourself. I would be surprised if the lettering did not come with a template as part of the order. VHB tape is known to be very unforgiving to mistakes and a real PITA to remove; involving heating and residue typically remains even after you get the letters off - it can be a real nightmare to get back to the original paint surface in an undamaged condition. If a dealer will install these it will be well worth the cost.

I picked up a set of Glacier Blue "PORSCHE" letters ordered from Germany by my dealer.

There is a pretty good video of a Porsche Macan (ICE) emblem removal and installation on YouTube. I am not sure if I am allowed to post the link here.

I have 3M adhesive remover and my only concern is the matte black plastic and marring the finish; I will test the product on an inconspicuous area of the Turbo.

The left and right alignment should not be a problem as all the letters are spaced out the equivalent of one letter; the "S" goes directly above the hatch camera. Vertically, the letters are right in the center of the plastic band.

Each letter costs me approx $100 CAD; I must be nuts!

I would recommend this to a PPF detailer, as they are knowledgeable about how to do this properly. They will buff out any imperfections in the matte black before installation and will apply it straight for you. They will probably only charge you $100 - $200 to do it, and it is worth it. They can even put on some clear PPF before applying the lettering, so you don't get any swirl marks on the plastic later.
