This is just a little tip/reminder for those who might not have found this less obvious feature, given that the weather is the UK is so wet and dreary this season.

If/when your rear view camera gets covered in mud and gunk, there’s a button that pops up when you put the car into reverse that pulses a little jet of water over the camera, saving you the task of cleaning them by hand with a cloth.

I’ve posted about this before, last winter, so apologies for the repetition if you’re already aware of it. I thought it might be handy for some of the newer Macan owners though as many people this time last year hadn’t found it.

On Taycan, only relevant for the saloon and not the ST or CT variants.

Does anyone know if this water comes out of the same reservoir as is used for your front window?

Thanks, that’s one I hadn’t found yet and it’s going to be very useful this winter.
Another good one that I have only just discovered is the lane control cancellation button which is found on the cruise control arm. Press it for a few seconds and it cancels the very disconcerting lane control, saving scrolling thru several screens to get the same outcome.
Heading to the dealer soon for a set of 20” wheels and winter tyres, replacing my 22”
Will report back on handling, grip, economy and noise levels.

I imagine so. There isn’t a separate reservoir for it, and many have reported that when their cars have been in or service/repair it’s resulted in no water coming through, which eventually does after about 10 presses, which would suggest it’s coming from the front of the vehicle and needs pumping through to the rear.

Thanx, I thought so, but couldn’t find any information about this

Yes it will.

Sometimes you may need to keep pressing the washer to ensure water is delivered.
