Don't get me wrong... I love my Porsches, but they need to stop making excuses and deliver software that actually works. The latest software update required me to leave my car with the dealer an entire week. But the update created more problems than when it went in. Yes, we drive Porsches because the drive is incredible, second to none. But if they are going to sell options that promise driver assist at high added costs, they should just work, period. And we as drivers should stop making excuses for Porsche and expect that they deliver on what they promise and what we paid for.

This is true. As much as I love my Macan and Porsche in general I am not sure I would go with one of their EVs instead. The Taycan quality is disastrous and the Macan is not much better. Having to bring in the car for a Software update and not even receiving the latest My2026 update is just bad.

Just a quick update. Had the latest software installed over a month ago on both of my 2024 Macan 4‘s. Zero error messages since then (I did have a few, not many, prior to the new software).

just FYI (prior post above), MY 2026 software won’t be installed ever in 24’s and 25’s because the hardware is different.

I dropped my car off today for this update, they say it won't take and they need to keep the car into next week. Anyone else have this issue getting the update done? I had almost no issues with the car before today (Mainly android auto connection issues and the electrify Canada cert not working), so now worried that the update is going to break it....

I've read of a few here. It is common for one module to fail update the first time but it usually takes on the second try. Sounds like yours is not taking on the second or third try.

From what I've read here, once they figure it out there are no further problems with the car. There are a few reports of it taking weeks, however.

Thanks for the response, late last night I got this from Porsche: "The tester was having trouble downloading the update before it even started to program the vehicle. We have put the car to sleep / tried with a different tester and it's going through as we speak." Apparently the tech stayed late, and they finished my car this morning. Just got it back, hope all is ok...
